Roxanne finally opened her eyes, she was on a gurney heading towards the ambulance that had been called, she could faintly hear voices, she wanted to open her eyes but the bright sun stopped her. Roxanne wanted to talk but she had a breathing mask on her face. All she could could do, at this stage was moan.

Falling asleep had not been her plan, but when she finally woke up she saw her mum and sister, her dad was nowhere to be seen and from what she had heard her father say, she wasn't sure she wanted to talk to him right now. Roxanne turned her head facing her mother, and tried to speak.

'Mamma.' Was her soft reply, then she swallowed trying to get some moisture in her mouth, it was no use. However Darlene heard her call and went to her gently running her hand in her hair. 'Water.' The water passed over and she drank the entire contents. 'What happened' all she wanted to know was the reason for her being in the hospital, she was not going to tell them what she heard before everything went black, she decided to keep it to herself for now.

'You had another blackout honey. Apparently the doctor said, that it's not often for a amnesia patient to have so many blacks, so he will be by to tell you what he needs to in an hour.'

Roxanne nodded her head and she felt she was a stranger to her family right now, it wasn't just because of having a certain form of amnesia but the fact that they knew why this happened, they knew who Stuart Steele was but they were keeping it from her and he daddy's rage worried her, was it because of her amnesia and he was worried about her or was it because this Stuart Steele was part of the problem. So Roxanne closed her eyes and tried to go back to sleep.

An hour later almost to the dot the doctor came in, she was gently shaken awake even though she had been awake the entire time but the time to herself was much needed time, to think, trying to piece what she knew, try to figure out the stuff that didn't make sense and try not to go nuts in the meantime. Roxanne just hoped the doctor had something intelligible to say and help her pick up the pieces and put them in there proper places.

Roxanne was wrong? It was much worse than she first thought. Having an operation on her brain was not what she wanted to hear. 'Ok so let me some this all up. Not only do I have amnesia and blackout that have nothing to do with my loss of memory but has to do with a brain tumour. Is that correct.'

'Good nutshell.' The doctor said to me.

'And what happens if I say No.' Roxanne knew she was being sassy to the doctor, but She was angry, scared and I was not in the mood to be nice.

'We can discuss that too.' The doctor who Darlene called Dr. Sam Rockwell said very seriously, despite the gleam in his eye, he was a very serious doctor. 'The operation will stop the blackout completely, which will help you amnesia come back quicker. If you don't have the operation something more serious can occur. The Brain tumour can form bigger causing internal bleeding, more blackouts and slowing down getting your memory back.'

'FINE' Roxanne snapped, until Darlene told her to be more respectful which embarrassed her, so she reluctantly apologised but making it sound sincere. 'Sorry Rockwell, I just didn't expect all this to happen in such a short space of time, I still have so many unanswered questions.'

'I understand, I'll come back with the paper work and run down everything we have to do and get it done in the next couple of days.' Roxanne nodded her head and when everything was done, she could relax in hospital in peace.
