Tuesday morning came and Fleur and I got ready for classes afterwards doing some running exercises throughout the castle before heading to classes. Once lunch was over we dressed properly into our silver blue uniform and we headed to the location of the first task. I sighed sitting in the tent as Cedric walked over.

"Did you know?" He asked

"Know what?" I asked him back a bit confused.

"That the first challenge was about dragons." He looked a bit unset.

"Yes." I said slowly. "Didn't you?" I asked

"I did but Harry told me" He said. I looked at him "He told me the day of the photoshoot." which made me scoff

"I didn't find out until after the photoshoot when my Headmistress told me."I saw him look a bit guilty. "But that hardly matters. Fleur and I have a natural ability against fire which helps against dragons. Are you going to work with Harry?" I asked

"Well. No I hadn't thought about it." Cedric said looking down.

"I think Fleur and I are the only ones doing that." I said looking at Krum and Poliakoff who were refusing to look at each other.

"Gather round! Gather round!" Bagman announced calling all of us together around a small black pouch that was kept in his hand. "How many tasks will take place today?" He asked

"Fleur and I are working together" I said.

"Okay you two choose first." He said thrusting the bag in front us. I looked at Fleur who gulped before placing her hand into the bag. Upon pulling her hand out we saw a small green dragon. "A welsh green" Bagman smiled with a number two on it.

Once everyone had chosen their dragons he looked at us and smiled. "You will all have to get a golden egg from the dragon that they have been taught to guard." We all stepped away looking at the little dragon in Fleur's hand.

"It's kinda cute" I said looking at it. A cannon went off and Cedric's face paled. "Good luck." I smiled giving him a big hug. During Cedric's task everyone was on edge the entire time, it didn't help that Bagman was announcing a play by play during Cedric's task. Fleur was pacing and I tried to comfort her.

"It's going to be alright." I said playing with our mini dragon. "We've got a plan a know what to do." I said trying to comfort her. We heard Bagman announce that it were our turn to go out into the field. It was covered in stones but our dragon was nowhere in sight.

"Stay back" I whispered to Fleur as I walked out more into the middle of the arena as the Welsh green jumped down nearly trampling me. I wasn't sure where she was at this moment but I knew she was hiding. "Hey there dragon" I smiled smugly. "Do you think you and actually hit me?" The dragon tried to hit bite me but I jumped into the air. Flying into the air I flipped around the dragon looking a bit dizzy "Immobales!" I shouted attempting to stun the dragon but failed as I breathed fire at me. I was wrapped in flames and could hear the crowd gasping. I landed on the ground looking up at the dragon seeing Fleur behind it by it's nest. Glancing at my clothes I could see that most of it was burned up. Quickly I charmed my clothes into stretching out and covering more of my body.

The dragon stared at me confused as I smiled. "I'm veela" I laughed at it watching it look scared, but it wasn't long until the dragon handlers grabbed him quickly.

"And Fleur Delacour Has Grabbed The Golden Eggs!" I heard Bagman announce causing me to smile. I sighed in relief and collapsed down on the ground. Fleur simply ran over smiling while the professors started writing our scores. Professor Dumbledore Ma'dam Maxime, Crouch and Bagman gave us a 9 and Professor Karkaroff showed off a 4.

"What's with that score?" I looked at the score angrily, hearing some boo's in the crowd at Karkaroff's score. We were currently in first place and we went to medical tent, where I was given a robe over me. "Cedric!" I shouted looking at him. Half his face was covered in an orange cream that was undoubtedly healing his wounds. "Geez I told you to be careful!" I scolded him getting a good look at him. "I told you that Fleur and I had a genetic advantage that you don't have. You're only human geez!" examining his face properly.

"Yea" he blushed slightly. "It's kinda embarrassing. My labrador didn't keep the dragon occupied long enough." He laughed causing me to shake my head. I sat with him as a Fleur handed me my egg.

 I examined my egg noticing the designs. The hinges and knob on the egg were quite unusual but before I could open it I heard the crowd cheer as Krum walked in egg all over him and one of the nurses asked Fleur and I to help get him rags.Once the entire group was finished Bagman entered the room happily.

"Well done all of yer!" Bagman congratulated us. "Now just a few quick words. You've got a nice long break before the second task which will take place at half past 9 on the morning of February 23. But we're giving you something to think about in the meantime." He smiled pointing at our eggs. "If you look down at those golden eggs you're all holding you'll notice that there's a knob at the top of each of them and that they open. You'll need to solve the clue that is inside of it to help you prepare for the next task. All clear?" He asked us before dismissing us for our short holiday.
