Yule Ball

 November slipped away quickly and it was now a cold early December morning, frost, sleet, ice and snow were hugging the school grounds. I had so much shopping to do. I needed to find something to send to Marissa and to buy things for Fleur, Cedric, Will and now Cho seeing as she was our roommate.

"Ready to go to Hogsmeade?" I asked Fleur bundling up into Cedric's scarf with a Ravenclaw cardigan over it.

"It's quite cold" She whined wrapping herself in her blanket, causing me to laugh.

"Here let me enchant you coat to be heated" I laughed taking her coat into my hand. As I placed an enchantment her coat Cho entered with a long list in her hands.

"Aren't you two going to Hogsmeade today?" She asked as Fleur nodded. "You might need more than that on you." Cho pointed at me as I finished enchanting her coat.

"I'll be fine" I laughed putting on my hat. "I mean I'm from England I'm sure I'll be fine." Cho had joined us on our trip to Hogsmeade. I bought a ton of sweets. 3 boxes of Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans, one for Cedric and Will and one for myself with a chocolate frog. I bought Will a remembrall since he kept forgetting his homework. As we walked into Zonko's Cho pointed out to us Cedric who had just exited a jewelry store.

"What do you think he bought?" Cho sighed happily. "You think it's for a girl" She pondered.

"Probably for his mum" I said getting ready to run over to him before Cho grabbed my hand pulling me back.

"What do you think you're doing?" She asked terrified.

"Going over to him?" I asked confused. "Cedric and I are old friends" I laughed.

"You can't you just can't!" She said scared. "It's too embarrassing." she whispered. It was obvious that she was interested in Cedric. I tried picturing Cho and Cedric together and it hurt my chest so very much. Cedric had told me that he was interested in a ravenclaw girl and Cho was indeed a beautiful ravenclaw girl and is also a seeker like himself. The more I thought about it, the most it hurt and I turned away from Cedric and sighed giving Cho a small smile.

"Fine. We don't have to invite him shopping."I said before going back towards Zonko's "Let's head in" I laughed looking around finding some silly items. "Oooh Marissa would love this." I laughed finding a box of chocolates that made you sick with different illnesses that would last only a couple of hours. "Oh look. It's a product of the Weasley's" I laughed "Those twins are so creative."

Once finishing the rest of the shopping we headed back to Hogwarts with wrapping paper with us. I couldn't help but feel a bit jealous of whomever Cedric bought the jewelry for. What am I saying. I laughed at myself, he probably bought it for his mother.

Walking around the campus after have wrapped all the presents I was quite board. Fleur wanted to enchant some items she bout.

We had class with Ma'dam Maxime who announced that we would be participating in the Yule ball and how we had to be in dress robes and ball gowns. Fleur looked nervous seeing has she had no dress yet. After class Ma'dam called Fleur and I up to talk to her telling us that we needed to find a dance partner for the ball seeing as we were to open the ball with a dance, and that we weren't allowed to dance with another champion. I sighed not knowing who to ask. It'd be weird taking her brother to the ball.

"I'm not excited for this" I sighed next to Fleur

"I don't know what to wear!" She exclaimed not really knowing what to do.

"Don't worry I'll make you a dress." I said bored. "I bought some fabric that you can have. I have some beautiful blue fabric what would work for you." I looked over at one of the Weasley twins and walked over to Fred and George. "Do either of you have dates to the ball?" I asked look mainly at George. "I need a date and would like to go with one of you two to the ball as a friend." I smiled.
