Dedicated to @FaithLoveLife98 For helping me find Liz!

"Aubrey, when are we going back home? I miss mommy." A pang of guilt and sadness swelled within me. I looked down at Casey and smiled. Her two blonde pigtails bouncing as we walked to the Deli shop.

"I know you do, baby girl. But we can't go anytime soon okay?" She nods and looks down at her pink converse, her small lip poking out a bit. I pick her up and slide her to my side. She rests her head on my shoulder.

"Wow, you're turning into a big girl huh?" I asked as I shifted her weight onto my left side. She nods slightly, before putting her thumb in her mouth. I knew it was her way of not wanting to talk anymore. The walk to the Deli was as quiet as ever.

"Hey Aubrey! I see you brought Cassandra today, It's been a while huh?" My boss asks. He reaches for Casey and she goes to him, she was getting big for a four year old.

"Let's get you something to eat while, sister gets ready to work. Alright?" He asks. Casey nods her head, her eyes lighting up.

"Is Liz here yet?" I ask. Heading towards the back.

"I'm in here!" I hear a voice yell out. I go to the freezer and look inside. Liz is struggling to pick up a bucket of ice.

"Need some help?" I ask. Liz looks over at me with pleading eyes. I let out a small chuckle and walk over to help her.

"Aubrey, Costumer!" Liz yells out. I finish staking the cookies on top of each other and wipe my hands off on my towel. I walk over to my cash register and type in my numbers.

"How can I help you?" I ask with a smile on my face, it soon turns into a scowl when I realize who it is.

"What do you want?" I ask.

"Aubreeey, Play nice." My boss Victor said. I smiled at Victor.

"Some people don't deserve my nice side." I say.

"Come on, Aubrey. Is that how you're going to do your own step-brother?" Brandon asks. My eyes narrow into slits before Victor pulled me aside realizing that it was Brandon.

"Lizzy, Could you do Aubrey's register?" He ask. She nods before smiling and going out front. Victor places both of his hands on my shoulders and started to talk to me. But I couldn't hear a word he was saying. All I could think of was that Brandon knew I was working again. He probably followed me here. I felt my heart skip into overdrive. He knew where I lived, he knew where I worked. He knew everything. I couldn't keep Casey safe anymore. And it's all my fault. I couldn't keep my own-.

"Aubrey?" I felt somebody shaking me but I couldn't respond. Why couldn't I respond?
