Goodbye Summer (Completed)

Chapter 12

The snow starts to fall, and Taeyeon sat on the couch by the window.
She finds it strange how her relationship with Baekhyun is still going strong.
Even though it's been 5 months since they last saw each other in person, she really missed his presence.
"Someone's calling. Answer it!"
Kyungsoo yelled out.
Taeyeon answered the phone without looking who the caller is.
"Hello?"

"Hi. It's me."
She missed his voice so much.
Taeyeon almost cried from hearing his sweet voice.
"Baekhyun? Why did you call me?"
She heard him sigh and let out a chuckle.
"Just...look out your window."
Taeyeon listened to him and it turns out he was standing outside in the snow.
She dropped the phone and immediately ran outside to give him the biggest hug.
He lifted her up from the ground and kissed her lips passionately.
"I really missed you."
Taeyeon didn't have the time to put on her coat.
Yet, she doesn't feel cold at all.
In fact her cheeks are burning up after the kiss.

"Me too. I have something for you."
Baekhyun took out something from his pocket.
"It's a charm bracelet. I know you wanted one so badly, you even told Joongki to buy you one on your birthday. Yet he never did. So..."
Taeyeon cupped his cheeks and gave him another kiss.
Baekhyun smiled and took her wrist.
"Let me put it on for you."

He put the bracelet on her wrist, then kissed her hand.
"It suits you."
Taeyeon looked at it, and in return gave him the brightest smile.
"I miss your smile. In fact I miss everything about you."
He hugs her to keep her warm and it worked.
Taeyeon hugs him back even tighter.

"Ew. It's the lovebirds again."
Kyungsoo stood behind them with Taeyeon's coat in his hand.
He threw it at her face and gave Baekhyun a hug as well.
It surprised him since Kyungsoo is not the kind of person to give hugs voluntarily.
Taeyeon laughed and put her coat on and watched Baekhyun and her brother hugging like there's no tomorrow.

"Take good care of her or I will murder you in your sleep."
Kyungsoo warned him and Taeyeon slapped his arm playfully.
"There's the Kyungsoo that I know."
Baekhyun said which made Kyungsoo roll his eyes.

Taeyeon and Baekhyun holds each other's hands as they walk around the neighborhood.
"I like your town. People are nice."
Baekhyun confessed and Taeyeon grinned.
"I like yours better, it's more peaceful."

Taeyeon can see their breathes while they talk, it's 20 degrees outside but with Baekhyun it feels like summer again.

"I really want to visit your house next year."
Taeyeon said in a depressed tone.
Baekhyun wants to change her mood.
"What makes it so special? It's just a beach house."
Taeyeon clicked her tongue she responds back,
"I had a lot of my firsts at that place. My first swim, my first time eating Brenda's mango pie, and first love."
She gulped when she mentioned about her first love which is Joongki.
"And don't forget your first kiss."
Baekhyun said, and Taeyeon giggled.
"That was at Sehun's backyard, stupid."

Baekhyun remembered and laughed.
"And first make out session."
Taeyeon said and Baekhyun's cheeks turned red.
"Maybe it's just the cold." She thought.
Baekhyun coughed and changed the subject.
"It may matter to you now, but later on in life you're going to create more  memories."
Taeyeon agreed.

"I'm so glad to see you again. I don't want you to leave."
Taeyeon holds both of his hands.
She looked at his eyes sincerely.
"I will never leave you. I promise. Even when we had to say goodbye to summer, there's still winter."
Baekhyun said meaningfully.

He kissed her forehead and made eye contact with her.
"I love you."
They said at the same time.
The snowflakes fall on them and soon begin to melt.
