Brayden:
"Can you try kicking the ball in front of you?" The therapist asked
I attempted to kick it with much force but was barely able to kick it further than a few inches. With having the majority of my leg in a cast for so long it was weird to use it.
The physical therapist wrote a few things down before placing her clipboard on her lap and looking up at me.
"I'm going to go ahead and put you in a boot now so you can have a little more freedom and an easier time getting around," she explained
I smiled and nodded my head. I was waiting to hear this for a minute now. Having to get around everywhere with crutches is frustrating as hell and it hurts my armpits. This will also allow me to slowly get back to my favorite sport. I was missing it like crazy and when you're unable to practice your passion, life gets pretty boring. There's only so much scheming I can do around the house since there's already a lot going on.
A lot is actually an understatement. Mel ran away a few weeks ago and mom has been dealing with something about her health and overall stress so dad sent her and Aunt Gigi on a trip to Dubai. That leaves me stuck with him and it's beyond irritating. I can honestly say that I like it better when he's not around.
As soon as we left the therapist's office we stopped by a local Chinese restaurant to pick up dinner and then 20 minutes later we were pulling up to the house. The overall drive was awkwardly silent and I was so glad it was finally over. He quickly got out the car, going straight inside and shutting the door behind him. Bitch ass. Even though I'm over a foot taller than my mom she would've helped me. I struggled to step out of the Range with this big boot on my foot but eventually I maneuvered out of the car and made my way into the house.
"Quentin I suggest you move your arm from around Evelyn before I smack you," I heard dad say sternly as I slowly approached the living room
They were sitting pretty close as they watched some movie on tv. Deciding on crashing their alone time together, I took a seat directly in between them before kicking my foot up on the foot rest sitting in front of me.
"What the fuck Brayden?!" Evelyn groaned as I changed the channel
Quentin just looked at me and chuckled before pulling his phone out.
"Evelyn watch your damn mouth," Dad snapped
"My bad," she mumbled
For the next hour I played the role as an annoying third wheel and I enjoyed it for the most part. Annoying Evelyn is one of my favorite things to do but it did get a bit boring. With that being said I decided on calling Royalty to see if she wanted to come over. Of course she replied with quickness because she's been feeling the kid for a while now.
Within the next 20 minutes she texted me telling me she was outside. That had to be one of my biggest pet peeves because.... Do people not know what a doorbell is? I'll let it slide though since she's so... cute? Beautiful? Sexy? She's a mixture of all of that. Once I finally made it to the front door and opened it up, she was standing on the porch, flashing that perfect smile of hers. I pulled her into a quick hug before waving to her mom as she drove off down the driveway.
"C'mon in?" I held the door open for her
She went straight to the living room to say what's up to Evelyn and Quentin. Her and Evelyn used to be super close but not so much anymore since she hates North with a passion. I don't know the details nor do I care. Drama between girls just really gives me a headache.
"Let's go outside," I grabbed her wrist, pulling her away before she started another conversation
Suggesting we just hang out on the trampoline, she teased me about my broken foot but thought it was a good idea. She jumped around a little as I snuck photos of her and overall just took in her appearance. She dressed happy as she always does. She was wearing those things girls alway wear. The top is somehow connected to the shorts? I don't understand the logic but it fit her well. Anyways, her hair was completely straight which is rare because she usually wears it all wild and curly and she either had no makeup on or a face full. I'm not too sure considering girls are magicians when it comes to that stuff.
