Normani Kordei Hamilton.

x2 Normani bc it fits with the story line.

"But I don't want to go to work." I pout. "I just want to stay here with you and cuddle and make out and do random shit like watch - "

"Don't say it Mani." She cuts me off. "Nobody but you and Mila watch that crap."

"It's not crap." I argue. "It's art."

"Sure it is." She mumbles and reaches for her keys from the hook above the door. "Want me to drive you to work?"

"Sure. I mean, anything for some extra time with you." I reply cheekily and don't fail to notice the blush that creeps up on her face. "Dinah!" I say in a high pitched voice. "Are you blushing?"

She ducks her head down shyly. "You're going to be late."

I roll my eyes, get my bag and walk out the door first, getting in the passenger.

She follows me out and locks the door behind her, getting in the drivers.

"So what time are you getting off?" She asks, reaching over to hold my hand.

I smile at the contact. Since last night, she's been way more affectionate and open like she was before.

"I'm not sure." I rub my thumb over the back of her hand. "I made a half day, day so probably  twelve." I shrug. "But you never know who might pitch up at the office."

"I hope that guy doesn't come to bother you again." She pulls her face. "It just bothers me that someone could be so disrespectful towards you. You, Normani Kordei."

I chuckle. "It bothers me too."

"So why did you make it only a half day?" She asks, looking out at the open road.

The traffic is surprisingly quite non existent this morning, much like Preslee's attitude.

She didn't even try to climb in the bed last night.

"Because I need the rest." I say in an obvious tone.

"You can do that?" She asks, looking over at me briefly and furrowing her brows.

"Of course you can. Like you do that everyday." I roll my eyes.

"Listen. I go in when I'm needed. I don't need to sit in an office 24/7 Mani." She replies seriously. "I would go nuts."

"So you'd rather sit at home and do nothing?" I ask, studying her side profile.

"No. I spend the days with my baby." She replies and turns into the street that my building is in.

"I only get home late afternoon." I point out.

"I was obviously talking about my dog." She rolls her eyes.

I roll mine right back at her and she chuckles, cupping my cheeks and planting a soft kiss on my lips. "Go have fun. And don't let anyone bullshit you. If they try, call me."

I chuckle and put my hands over hers, which are still on my cheek. "You're just looking for a reason for me to call you."

"Maybe." She shrugs. "You'll just have to wait and see."

I shake my head and remove her left hand from my face and place a tiny kiss on her thumb. "Twelve o clock."

She nods and I chuckle at her being so serious.

I turn to get out, but before I do, I give her one last kiss.

One to remember me for until she sees me again.
