The morning sun sliced through the blinds of my room. The whole house was dead, no sound but the blowing of my fan. The seagulls outside would fly past the windows doing their usual morning calls. My body shifted a little as my eyes slowly opened, adjusting to the lighting. I lay sprawled out trying to catch any breeze from my fan, the heat causing me to spend the night drenched. I roll over onto my side facing my nightstand. I grab my phone from the charger and check the time. Almost noon.

I sat up and swung my legs over the side of my bed. I got to my feet and started heading over to the door. My stomach growled as I grabbed for the handle, then I remembered I hadn't had much dinner last night due to my lack of energy.

"Good morning sunshine," Natalie says to me as I walk down the stairs. I jumped a little, since I hadn't heard anybody when I woke up. She was sitting on the couch on her phone, scrolling through her twitter.

"Hey," I reply, my morning voice cracking. I shuffle my feet across the floor to the kitchen, trying to find any food for breakfast.

"So?" Natalie asks with a growing smile, sitting up on the couch. I look at her with a puzzled look.

"So, what?" I ask confused.

"You and Harry?" She says wiggling her eyebrows.

"What are you talking about?" I say.

"Him giving you a ride? How was it?" She tells me as if I'm getting more and more stupid as this conversation goes on.

"What do you mean? He just drove me here, nothing else," I reply.

"Oh please, you guys had to do something," she tells me. I think about her response, I mean we really didn't do anything, just talked.

"Like what? We knew each other for two hours, maybe less," I say, "He was just doing a nice gesture, no more than that," I finish. She rolls her eyes at me jokingly.

"Alright then," she says sarcastically. I look down and smile at her response. She was like a mother to me sometimes. I'm seen with a guy and she automatically thinks we have some type of relationship all of the sudden. I mean, nothing happened, but it was a nice time. Even though all we did was sit in a car and chat a little bit, we enjoyed each other's company. Plus, he was really easy to talk to, something that never really came easy with me. I was always so shy and quiet, the only person I have ever really opened up to would be Natalie or my parents, but that's about it.

I go over to the pantry and grab some bread to make toast. I plug in the toaster and place two slices into the slots. I press down the slide and walk over to the couch where Nat was sitting while I was waiting for the bread to be toasted. I fall back into the cushions giving a heavy sigh. I play with my fingers in my lap for a few minutes before looking up to find her staring at me with a smirk on her face. "What is your deal today?" I say laughing. She shrugs her shoulders, her smile growing bigger.

"I know you like him," she says.

"I already told you, nothing happened and I don't have feelings for him." I say irritated.

"We'll see how long that lasts," she says sitting back into the couch. I give her a death glare, and she responds with a cheeky grin across her face. "Just to let you know I invited him to come to to the beach with us today."
