To everyone in Mikado City, there was a famous urban legend of a young girl named Chika. Once a kind young girl, she was believed to have a mental condition because she could see strange creatures and believed in strange creatures others did not.
It was one day, that these creatures were proved to be real, that her only friend disappeared. Her elder brother attempted to save her friend, only to be declared missing as well. Wracked with grief and sadness, Chika had threatened to take her own life.
Now, no one knows if she actually exists, so there are varying stories from here one.
One of them, for instance, tells that she threw herself from the top of a forty building into a construction sight and died. Another says that she was saved from herself by a boy named Osamu, and lived the rest of her life as his adopted sister. A third one says that, using some sort of technologically advanced weapon, she killed off these 'demons and spirits,' called Neighbors, and saved the city without them knowing.
But, in all of these stories, Chika dies, saying these words.
If the world were to fall into the hands of someone who we did not put in control, that world will only die.
And Servant Caster was born.
