"Hi ma'am good afternoon" Sharon greets me as soon as she saw me.

I nod at her and smile before I open his door.

"Sharon I told you not to disturb me and didn't I told you to knock on the door first" he said sternly without taking his eyes on the papers.

I cleared my throat and he gaze on me.

"I uh I thought you didn't eat your lunch so I b-bought you some" I said while walking to his desk knees shaking slightly cause he's drilling holes on me. "E-eat up"

"What are you doing here?" I cringe at the coldness of his voice.

"I j-just b-bought you--"

"I'm not fucking stupid so get the damn he'll straight. What.Are.You.Doing.Here?" I flinch when he slam his hands on the desk.

"I-i-i j-j-just want t-to check on y-y-you. Sharon s-said that you w-were not in the office e-earlier. I just want t-to k-know that you're safe and glad that you are"

"Now that you know I'm fine you can leave"

"B-but I bought l-lunch" he pinch the bridge of his nose, meaning that he's really pissed.

"Get the fuck out of my office. Can't you see I have tons of work to do?"

" I j-just want t-to s-spend some t-time with you. W-we never ha-have t-time to talk anymore"

"Leave.Or.I'll.Kick.You.Out.Here" I scurried out of his office and put a fake smile on my face and bid goodbye to Sharon.

I can feel the sting in the corner if my eyes and blink it away. I hurried over to the car. Once I close the door, my tears fall like a damn. I stayed there for quite some time before I leave. My eyes are all red and puffy and my head hurts so I rush my way home...oh it wasn't home anymore.

The kids are running and playing when I parked. Rosita saw me and immediately greets me.

"Chantel what a surprise" she said as she hugs me "Grace, Gavin your aunt's here" the twins stop playing and run to me, I open my arms wide to hug them.

"Wow you're now big and heavy huh" I said while carrying both of them in my arms.

"Daddy said I'm a big boy now" Gavin said.

His mom laughs. "Down now you two, you know auntie's not strong enough to carry you both".

"Yes mom, sorry auntie" they both said.

"It's alright, you can go back playing" they go back chasing each other "Is kuya here?"

"Yeah, he's in the kitchen"

I thank her and made my way inside. When I enter the house I can already smell the delicious food and when I reach the kitchen, I saw my brother humming and swaying while cooking.

"Hmmm that smells delicious" I bit my lip to contain my laughter when kuya jumps five feet from the ground.

"Jesus Chantel don't scare me again!" he shouts still recovering.

"Oh I miss you too" I said walking over to him.

He open his arms and hug me "I miss you too princess" he tighten his hug and I did the same.

Later on he headlock me and ruffling my hair.

"Kuya nooo stop it" he laughs while I try to get away.

"Now why are you here?" he asks turning serious in a snap.

"Why am I not allowed to come here?" I ask playfully and glare at him. That was my mistake, cause the time he met my eyes he frowns.

He cups my face and look in my eyes, I look away, everywhere, but not in his direction. "You've been crying" he states.

I know he'll discover it eventually. Concealers don't really hide puffy eyes that much.

"Yeah uh just watch a really sad movie, so yeah"

"Liar" I paled "Tell me is he hurting you, I can kill him and hide his body with no sweat."

"Kuya it's nothing really, it's just a really sad movie and I can't help but cry"

"Princess you know you can tell me. You can tell kuya, is he hurting you? Did he cheat on you?

I wrap my arms around his body and bury my face into his chest. I always love his smell, it's so manly. "I love you"

He hummed and hugged me so tight that I can hardly breath.

I spend the rest of the day at my brother's house playing with the twins, movie marathon and eating because kuya kept cooking munchies, he even baked brownies, he knows my love for brownies and he spoils me by baking a lot. I'm pretty sure my diet's destroyed but I don't care as long as it's kuya's cooking.

We tucked the twins to bed when their sleeping time came. I read them a story about two siblings and they immediately fall into sleep.

"It's late, you can sleep here and tell your husband so he won't worry" kuya suggested. Oh trust me kuya, he won't even know that I'm not yet home.

"Kuya..."

"Okay fine, just drive safely okay? Call me when you're home"

"Okay, bye kuya"

"Bye, love you"

"Love you too"

My heart skipped a beat when I saw his car parked. I checked the time and saw that it's still 10 pm. It's a wonder why he's at home this early.

The lights are off but I can see his silhouette standing by the glass door. His arms are crossed and his feet are spread shoulder width.

"Where were you and why are you not yet home?" His deep voice boomed in the room echoing in the walls that made it more scarier.

I wince and shake at his voice. He is mad, no he's FURIOUS.
