Soon, Me and my friends are close to the castle. We stand near the gate, trying to decide what to do. "We can't just barge in there!" I tell them. I pause, not really listening to what Akili is saying. "I've got it! She doesn't know that I'm alive, or what I look like! We're all vampires, so we can just walk right in there an no one will suspect a thing!" Snow and Akili first look at me like I'm nuts. But as I explain, they start to like the idea. "But we need to go to school everyday or our parents will suspect something's up." Snow says. Akili and I nod. "We can run as fast as cheetahs, so let's just run to school." I suggest. Once again, everyone nods. So we walk right in there, heads held up high. I'm walking while talking to them, and I bump into a guy. "Watch it!" I shout. He looks at me, surprised. I notice he has messy dark black hair, and bright red eyes. He's tall, and I can see his muscles through his shirt. He looks about my age. He seems worried. "Sorry, I just, I, um..." He mutters. "Can't you speak!" I say, annoyance in my voice. "Sorry! I just got...distracted." I look at him. There's nothing here that could've distracted him. "You must be new here. I'm Asa. A bitten" He says, this time to all of us. "Hi! I'm Snow, and I'm a full-blood!" She says happily. "Hello. I am Akili, a Full-blood as well." Everyone looks at me. "I'm Saraphine, and I'm a half-blood. But I was also bitten." I say. "We're new here and looking for a place to stay." I tell him. "You can stay with me if you want." He says. We all look at each other. "Alright." I say, and he walks us to his house. When we get there, it's like a normal little suburban house. But it's painted dark red, with a black roof. We all walk in, and Snow and Akili rush to pick their rooms. "Hey." I say to Asa, touching his shoulder. "Yeah what's up?" He turns around. "Sorry for being rude to you before. And thanks for being so nice to us when I was a brat to you." I say, staring at my feet. "It's ok Saraphine, and you're welcome." God, the way he says my name! Woah there Sara! Calm down. You just met this guy! Besides, he probably doesn't even like you in that way. So I go upstairs to pick rooms. I notice there's only three, and a bathroom. Great. Asa walks up behind me. As I'm wondering where to go,I can feel him standing behind me, and his chest is really close to my back. He slips by me, grabbing my wrist, and leads me to what I can only guess is his room. It's painted a surprising dark purple, with a black bed in the corner and a dresser in the opposite corner. "I'll sleep on the floor." he says in a soft voice. I can't help but practically drool over his voice. "There's clothes in there. Sorry, they're mine, but it's all you got. We can go shopping tomorrow." I nod and move over to a door that I didn't notice which I guess is the closet. I open it up, and walk into a walk in closet! I pick out a red sweatshirt and grey sweatpants. I put them on, and look in the mirror. I see the clothes hug my figure, and I'm shocked because I actually look pretty good in them! "Ok you can come out now if you're ready" I hear Asa say. I go out and see him wearing Black shorts and no shirt. I can't help noticing his muscles. He has a six pack! God, he's hot! "Whenever you're done staring at my chest you can go to bed." He says with a stupid smirk on his face, like he's teasing me. "Don't make that face, you'll ruin your good looks." I say to him with a flirty smile. Now it's my turn to smirk. "Be right back, I'm going to brush my teeth." As he leaves he says "oh and by the way, you look really good In those." I stare in shock. Then I climb into his bed, facing the wall, and try to go to sleep. Soon I hear the door open and close. And he lies down on the floor next to me. I feel better with him there, and I fall asleep to the sound of his breathing. I am in the nightmare again, but this time, I can see the figure of a woman, and she's laughing. He smile is he only thing I can see of her, and it has fangs. I see her hand shoot out ice, and everything goes white. I wake up screaming, and Asa jumps up. "Saraphine!" He says, worry in his voice. "I'm fine, just a nightmare." I mutter as I turn back to face the wall. I hear him get up, then feel him lie next to me. He puts his arm around my waist, and he whispers "I'll chase the nightmares away." And I fall asleep, nightmare less, because I know he's there to protect me.
