Railey's POV
Three days ago, Friday, 1:30 pm
I grabbed my things and rushed out as soon as the bell rang, not caring about what he was saying since I couldn't wait to celebrate when I get home. Free! Free at last! I was in my own little partying world when I knocked into someone muscular, resulting in my painful, ungraceful fall. Shit! That hurt damn it! Hope my ass doesn't get any bruises later. I rubbed my ass and looked up, about to snap at the guy when I saw who it was. I jumped up immediately, not caring what had happened just a second ago. "Mikey! How've you been, bud?" Grinning from ear to ear, obviously from joy.
He did a hearty laugh and picked me up, spinning me round and round, "Hey! Stop it! I'm getting dizzy!" I shouted at him, laughing. "I've been great princess, missed you too!" He said as he set me down. I smiled and gestured him to walk with me. I needed to meet up with Angie since I kind of forgot about her back in class when I rushed out just now. She'll have my head for that. Can't blame me, right? I was so happy! He nodded and followed, telling me all about his one-month trip in Canada while we walked.
You see here, Mike is like my best friend ever! Well, right next to Angie, of course... Anyways, last month he and his family went on a trip to Canada to visit his grandparents from his mom's side of the family. Once his dad went on a business trip with his boss and a few other employees to Canada. There he met Mike's mom who was working at a restaurant as a waitress. It was kind of like 'love at first sight' which I never have believed in.
They meet up again after all the business stuff was done and they exchanged email addresses with each other. They contacted each other a lot, fell for each other, decided to meet up again with non-formal arrangements, got plane tickets, flew to Canada, met and dated for a year or two, proposed on their 2nd anniversary, said yes, got married and blah blah blah the rest. So, to sum it up, they are perfect for each other with no problems whatsoever, loves each other to their dying breaths and has a perfect family of 3 kids that consists of 2 sons and a daughter who, by the way, is studying at Cambridge University with top grades.
He was still telling me about his trip when we reached the parking lot where Angie was waiting for me. "Railey! How dare you ditch me like that! Where the hell we're yo-" her eyes widened at the figure beside me. "MIKE!!" She squealed like a little schoolgirl and hugged him tightly. "You're back! How was the trip?" She asked with a grin as she let him go. Mike then started to tell her the same things he told me just a moment ago.
"Really, Mike? You want to tell everything to Angie while we stand out here like idiots?" I frowned at him. "Hey! How 'bout we go to this new café that just opened like 2 weeks ago? It's just around the block and I heard that they have the best smoothies!" Angie suggested. "That sound good to me, what 'bout you Railey?" I looked at Mike. "Sorry you guys, but I have to go pick up Jacob, thanks anyways. You two hang out without me, see ya!" They nodded and waved me a goodbye while I headed over to pick up my brother at his school.
"Heysis! Guess what?" I smiled at the 10-year-old while he went on with hisstory for the day. He had spiky light brown hair which the sunlight made itlighter when it shone on him. His sparkling green eyes filled with excitementas he talked about his upcoming one-day trip to the museum. He had a thing forhistory, not that I know why. Nothing else happened that day except for Angiewho called me to fill me up on her and Mike's conversation earlier at the caféand how good the smoothie was.
