A new VRMMO

I had been out of SAO for a week now. All while I was trapped in SAO, I thought I would love to be back in reality... But I didn't. Reality felt boring compared to all the excitement inside the virtual world. I know how stubborn and ungrateful that sounds but... I miss the virtual world. And I knew how I could fix that. There was a new VRMMO game being released, and it seemed awesome. Altheim Online. You could fly, you could be free. I really wanted to buy this game, but sadly I knew my dad would never let me. After the whole Sword Art Online thing, I would be very lucky if he ever let me play another VRMMO again. I sighed. I guess I would never fill my need to be in the virtual world, and if I'm not in the virtual world, then that really narrows down my chances of every meeting Kirito again...

"Dad..." I said in the most innocent voice I could muster. "With some of my pocket money could I please go and buy Altheim Online?" He looked at me for a moment in shock, before he shook his dark, chocolatey locks.
"No Keiko."
"Please."
"No, I don't want anything going wrong this time." He placed his hands on my shoulders. "I couldn't bare to lose you for another two years..."
"But..." I looked him in his ocean-blue eyes. "Nothing will go wrong this time... I pinkie promise." I said as I outstretched my pinkie finger ready to link it with his. He half smiled as he gave me his pinkie and we shook on it.
"You haven't don't that since you were very little..."
I just smiled and felt my cheeks go a little bit pink.
"Yeah..." I replied sheepishly.

I practically ran into town as soon as I left my house. I ran straight to the game shop. I had £30 to spend, I had previously been saving up my money before SAO, but I can't quiet remember what for. I walked into the shop. The line was huge. It snaked round the shop like the Basilask from 'Harry Potter a the Chamber of Secrets'. I sighed. It was going to be a long wait.
Half an hour had passed.
One hour.
One and a half.
Two....
I impatiently looked at my watch that was strapped around my pale wrist. 4:00. I groaned. I had been waiting for so long.... And if I wasn't back soon then my dad would be worried. Just then the person in front of me in the line left and I was finally at the front, after two whole hours of waiting. My legs ached.
"Urm, could I have a copy of Altheim Online and a new headset?" I asked gingerly. I needed a new headset because all of the old ones had been taken away; the ones that trapped us in the game that is. The guy at the till handed me a bag containing the game and a headset.
"There you go, that'll be £29.99." Phew. I though. I have just enough. I handed over my money and skipped home, with the bag in hand. I was just about to walk up to my room when I heard a voice from behind me say.
"Remember our promise Keiko, please don't get yourself killed..."
I turned around to hug my dad again.
"Don't worry dad," I reassured. " I'll be fine."

I lay in my bed. The headset in my hands. I put it on and laid down. I saw some flashing colours and then the game loaded.

'Welcome to Altheim Online! Please chose the name you wish to be identified as.'
