"He hasn't told Zack yet," Alex snapped. "I should fucking do it, he'd fucking deserve it the little bitch."
"Don't get involved," Josh said patiently, not even looking up at Alex as he wrote out his notes.
"I'm already involved," Alex said. "I'm like the whole reason for any of this."
"Who's not a self-centered little boy?" Brendon teased.
Alex rolled his eyes and muttered, "it's true though," under his breath.
Brendon was lying back on my couch, his arm behind his head, flicking a lighter on and off. I almost felt like going over and asking him for a joint since the whole thing with Vic was still upsetting me. I knew he had one, he always had one handy. I'd never gotten high before and now seemed like a perfect time.
"Kellin," Alex snapped me out of my thoughts. "Honestly who do you think is hotter, me or Zack?"
"Why are you so obsessed with Zack?" Josh whined putting his pen down and looking at Alex. "Who gives a shit who's hotter?"
"Jack apparently does," Alex mumbled.
"Who gives a fuck about Jack?" Brendon snapped from the couch.
"You're hotter," I told Alex anyway. He smiled at me and looked at Josh triumphantly.
"Kellin's not gay," Brendon noted from the couch. "Therefore, he can't be the one to tell which boy's hot or not."
"Hey," I laughed. "I might not be gay but I can still appreciate the aesthetic."
"Oh what and you're going to be the one to tell us, I presume?" Josh grinned at Brendon.
"Well I'm bi," Brendon said looking back at us over the couch. "So yes, I will."
"Okay," Alex replied. "Who's it gonna be then?"
Josh drummed the table with his fingers playfully before Brendon answered. "You, by a landslide."
I think some part of Alex didn't believe us and just thought we were saying what he wanted to hear. Nevertheless, Alex smiled at him but then abruptly rolled his eyes as another thought crossed him. "Obviously, Jack doesn't think so."
A collective groan from the room sounded at his words and he shrugged. "It's true you guys."
"You know what?" Brendon said getting up. "We need to get you a man."
All eyebrows raised at this comment until Brendon elaborated. "We need to go to like one of those gay clubs and get Alex a man."
Alex immediately said no."I think it's a good idea," Josh agreed. "Right now you're just moping about Jack and you should get someone else to take your mind off it."
"A rebound," Brendon grinned leaning his elbows on the table and gazing excitedly at Alex.
"If Josh is saying it's a good idea," I commented. "Then you should listen to him."
"No, come on you guys," Alex protested. "I don't know if I'm just ready for all of that right now."
"So you'd rather sit at home and cry about Jack?" I asked.
