Chapter 5

Chapter 5-

When I woke up it was around 7. Maya was still passed out on my shoulder. I softly nudged her to wake her up. She sat up and yawned.

"What time is it?"

"7 I think." I said.

"Well I should probably head home."

"Let me drive you," I told her.

"You don't have to do that, I'll walk, it's fine."

"No really, let me drive you. I don't mind it"

"Well alright if it's ok with you" she said.

I got off of the bed and threw a sweatshirt on and grabbed my keys off my dresser. She got up and got her jacket and purse and headed out of my room. I followed behind her.

"Bye Mrs. Mahone, thanks for having me over!" She said sweetly. I smiled and walked towards her.

"Ready to go?"

"You're driving her home?" My mom asked.

"Yeah..is that ok?"

"Yeah it's fine, I was just asking."

"Alright Maya, let's go then" I said smiling at her.

I opened the front door to the porch and she stepped out, me following. We walked to my car together and got in, and I started it and I purposely drove slowly to her house.

"How are you feeling?"

"I'm better. Thank you for taking care of me" I said.

"You're welcome. I don't like seeing anyone in that kind of pain...and I'm really sorry about what happened on Saturday, but it doesn't make me think of you as a bad person." She told me.

"Well that means a lot to me...are we still on for tomorrow after school?" I said smiling.

"Absolutely." She said softly.

Soon we arrived at her house and I pulled in the driveway.

"Well thank you for everything," I told her.

"You're welcome. I'll see you in school tomorrow" she said happily. And with that she went in her house and was gone. I backed out of the driveway and drove back home. When I got home, I went straight to my room and decided to give my homework a try.

"Well you should care..."

Anything to try and win over that girl's heart. I got my trig & chemistry homework out of my backpack and looked it over. I didn't understand much of if, but I tried, and I think that's what matters.

At school the next day, Ashley wasn't there again. I was a little worried, but I tried to keep my mind off of it. I walked into trig to see Maya holding a seat for me right next to her. She motioned for me to come over, so I did.

"I can't wait for later!" She told me smiling. I smiled back. Then some kids came in and started whispering again.

"Look Austin, they're doing it again..." Maya said.

"I don't care. It doesn't matter."

I shook it off. The bell rang and class began. Mrs. A was surprised that I actually had my homework done for once. And I got a majority of it right.

Second period came and went, and then it was off to economics, my first class with Jason.

I walked in to the classroom and Maya was behind me, and I saw Jason and his "crew" gathered around a table talking and looking at me. I sat down, when Jason stood up and started walking towards me.

Please no. Please don't let him do it again.

"Hey Mahone," he said laughing somewhat evilly.

"Go away Jason."

"Hey I'm just warning you," he said putting a hand up in the air.

"Warning me about what?"

"You might wanna, you know. Check YouTube."

"What?"

He laughed and walked away. The bell rang for class to start. Check YouTube. What was that supposed to mean? Hopefully Maya didn't hear.

I wouldn't be able to check YouTube until my study hall the last period of the day. Consistently throughout the day people kept talking about me behind my back, and I was still clueless as to what about. Finally I got to last period (with Jason again), and took a seat and pulled out my iPhone. I opened up the YouTube app and bam. There it was. I pressed play.

"Hi, my name is Ashley Quinn. I'm a junior in high school and I just want to share a story with all of you today. Everybody goes to teenage parties in high school. Gets drunk, does drugs here or there, whatever. Needless to say, I was one of those people. This past Saturday I went to a party and sure enough got wasted and let some boy take advantage of me. Next thing I knew I was upstairs riding some guy's dick that I don't even know. My ex boyfriend walked in on us and almost killed us both. So I just wanna give a special thanks to Austin Mahone for taking advantage of me that night. Thank you for getting me wasted, taking me upstairs and having sex with me when you don't even know me. Thank you for ignoring me when I tried talking to you after. Thank you Austin for wrecking my 3 year relationship with the man I loved forever. Thanks a fucking lot. I hope every fucking girl watching this knows NEVER to get with you because shit like this will happen. But I guess I'm going to have to permanently accept Austin into my life now, because now something's happened that can't be fixed. Hope you can raise a kid, Austin."
