Lily's POV

"Mom! I'm leaving!" I yell as I grab my backpack. "Have fun at school!" My mom says. "I'll try." I reply as I walk out of the house and make my way to school. As I sit down in class, I notice Jackson Collin walking to detention. "That's not surprising." I say to my best friend, Annie. "No kidding. Only he could get detention in the first 3 minutes of school." She replies as she turns to face the teacher. As the teacher starts explaining today's lesson, I can't help but wonder, does Jackson have a good side? Is there a part of him that is caring and sensible? I push the thought aside and focus on the lesson. Unfortunately, I missed half of the instructions and I have no idea what's going on. When the teacher finished explaining the lesson, I walked over to Annie. "Hey, what's the assignment?" I ask her. "Seriously?" She asks me between giggles. "Yes, seriously." I say, which only makes her giggle more. "Ok." She says, catching her breath. "We have to interview a student from a different class. Our teacher is picking the partners so I am a little worried." Our teacher has never really liked us, so I am worried too. "Alright class, I have your partners listed on the board. As I looked at the board my stomach plummeted. I was paired up with Jackson. "Oh no." I say as I walk over to my sweet and sit down. Annie comes up next to me with a frown on her face. "I'm sorry you got Jackson. Maybe you can make it work." I look up at Annie with a questioning look on my face. "I don't think so." I replied, sighing. The teacher suddenly hands me a paper with all the questions on it. I look over it.

What is your partners name?

How old is your partner?

Where does your partner see his or herself in 20 years?

What is your partners idea of a perfect date?

What is your partners special talent?

Does your partner have any siblings?

What is your partners favorite hobby?

What is your partners favorite movie?

"These don't seem too hard." I say to Annie. "Not really." She replies. As I walk down the hall towards the detention room, I motion for Jackson to follow me. He reluctantly gets up and opens the door. He walks over to me with a smirk on his face. "Thanks for saving me, babe." He says to me. Oh, great. This is going to be a VERY long day. I walk after him with a scowl on my face. He is like, half a foot taller than me, so my eyes bore right into his back. If looks could kill, he would be dead on the floor right now.
