Lily's POVI turn my head away as I hear the guy load the gun. Just then, I free my hands from the ropes and turn my head back to him. "I hope you have a backup plan." I say with a smirk on my face. He tilts his head as I say that and I jump up and tackle him to he ground. Though he is much bigger and heavier than me, he didn't expect it, so I brought him down pretty easily. We struggled on the ground for a good minute, before he pinned me down under him. By this point, I have bruises on my face and arms, cuts from the gun scraping against my skin, and I think I might have a broken finger. He, on the other hand, has only a few minor scrapes from the ground, and a small bruise from my fist connecting with his jaw. I was completely immobile, because he was pinning down my arms and legs. I had no way to move, but I still had fight left in me. I decided to get him to think about something else, so I had time to think of something to do to get out of this. "Who are you?" I decide to ask, since I have no idea who he is. "You really don't remember me?" He asks. "No. I don't actually." I reply. "My name is Nick, if you must know. I believe we met in 8th grade." He says a smirk playing on his face. My eyes widen when he says his name. "Nick Black?" I ask. "In the flesh." He says. How do I know Nick, you ask? Well, we met in 8th grade when he was the new kid. We started dating when we went into 9th grade, and I broke it off that summer. He tried to kiss me, and I just wasn't ready. That's why I ended it. Now he wants me back? How did he even know where I lived? Suddenly, there was a loud crash from outside. He started looking around the room to make sure no one got in. I took this time to yank my leg out from under him and I kicked him right in the crotch. He yelled some curse words and dropped to the ground. I jumped up and grabbed the gun off the ground, just as he got up. He looked at me with pure anger in his eyes. I took off running towards the door and he followed right after me. I was faster than him so I got to the door first. I yanked it open and ran down the alley that led to the street. As I rounded the corner, I emerged onto the sidewalk and I just kept running. I then noticed a police car driving down the street. I kept running, thinking Nick was still behind me. I was wrong. The cop car turned on its sirens and cut me off on the side walk. A cop got out and pointed a gun at me. I look down to see that I am still holding Nick's gun. I look back towards the alley, and Nick is gone. I slowly look back at the police officer, a worried look on my face. He starts yelling at me to put the gun down and drop it on the concrete. He runs over to me and turns me around and cuffs my hands behind my back. "You are under arrest! You have the right to remain silent. Everything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law." He says to me. As he leads me to the cop car, I think to myself, how am I going to get myself out of this?

When I was writing this chapter, I listened to the song, Everybody wants to rule the world. It's an awesome song, and I listened to it a good 15 times, at least. I had a writers block in the middle of writing this chapter, so I needed some inspiration. That song helped me. In fact, I'm listening to it right now😋
