The flapping of large wings echoed through the forest and a large gust of wind rustled the leaves in the trees as a large figure landed in a small clearing. The wolf like figure rose up on all four legs folding its wing in to its back.
A small breeze rustled the fur of the creature as the its form began to shift. The course black fur melted in to the skin and its wings receded in to his back. He slowly rose up on his hind legs making a soft cracking sound as he stretched adjusting to the new form.
In the place of the creature stood a man proud and tall, black hair curling around his face like dark wisp of smoke, casting a shadow over his large deep purple eyes. On his un-clothed back lay am elaborate tattoo of pitch black angel wings that curled around his shoulder blades stretching down the rest of his back. And on the wings each individual feather, so painstakingly constructed, moved silently as if being caressed by an invisible breeze.
The shadow of the man lay on the grass a creature with large wings and a body like a wolf. As the shadows gathered around each other the man and his silhouette kneeled down bowing his head towards the spot where the shadows concentrated.
A man stepped out of the shadows silver hair gleaming bright in the mid afternoon sun like a jewel with pale almost translucent skin as beautiful and as bright as the moon. His hair cast a shadow over his eyes and yet through the large silver locks you could feel a certain warmth and brightness penetrating the air as the man looked about the horizon.
He let out soft chuckle tilting his head ever so slightly towards the kneeling man and giving him a soft smile. "You know as well as anyone else that I don't need you to kneel to me so why do you continue to insist on doing it, Asta."
Asta lets out a literal bark of laughter rising up from his knees. "Its just a sign that I respect you my lord, and because you deserve it." He walked over pulling the man in for a hug. "I have missed you my old friend."
The man smiles "Thank you Asta you truly are a good friend, and I see the new form is working well for you. I hope you've been enjoying it."
Asta smiles sheepishly ducking his head downwards kicking some loose soil. "Actually today is the first time I've used it, I just never really saw an opportunity until now. Anyways why have you summoned me to meet in the physical world instead of the dream world, um what name are you going by right now."
The man scoffs lightly "We'll talk about you not using your form later. I gave it to you for your enjoyment and you must train it or it will not be able to function. But as to the matter of your summons it has to do with Perseus's recent dreams. And I go by the name Aaru for now."
The face of the man darkens and he closes his eyes running through the amount of times Percy had woken up screaming, with blood splattering his sheets and cuts, and stab wounds running criss-cross along his pale shaking form. "Yes" he mutters quietly "I am aware of the nightmares he has suffered from each night. The seem to have begun taking a toll on the boy. He looks so lost now and it pains me to know there is nothing I can do."
Sympathy colors the face f Aaru and even though his eyes remain shielded, Asta can still feel the piercing gaze and the pity which his friend gives him. "You seem to have become rather attached to the boy."
A bittersweet smile runs across his face."Yes I have he is a good child and does not deserve the fate which lies ahead of him."
"I'm afraid that it was not fate that chose this path for young Perseus but himself. He has chosen this path and from now on he shall be the one who makes his decisions. Percy is no longer influenced by Fate for the three sisters no longer have control over him."
Asta's purple eyes widen and he looks upon his friend with confusion. "Why, you know thats dangerous, so why?"
Aaru shakes his head, "I am afraid it was not my doing. It was his will. I am aware of the consequences that may follow but there is nothing I can do. But along the matter of young Perseus's nightmares I am giving you permission to influence the dreams. You must remain subtle you can not allow the enemy to be aware of the fact that you are there for the consequences could be catastrophic."
He looked down towards the ground. He pinched the bridge of his nose sighing and sitting down, leaning back against a willow tree. "Okay, I will not interfere to much. You have my word." He ducks his head down burying his face in his hands.
Aaru looked towards his friend with pity. There was nothing he could, no matter how much he wanted to help he couldn't. Perseus must figure these things out on his own for the sake of himself and others. He walks towards his friend kneeling down and pulling him in to a hug. "I am sorry my friend. I am truly honestly sorry."
He pulls himself up off the ground walking towards the center of the clearing. His form fades in and out switching between solid and light. Sending one last grim look towards his friend Aaru's form disappears fully, not a trace of him left.
