Chapter 2 ; Elementary School

After a couple more hours of the two on skype, it kept raining hard, which is not unusual for the city of Waukegan. Chase was locked up in his room, ranting on about how he easily falls in love. Grayson sat there listening to him, knowing the non binary's struggle with relationships. After a couple minutes of raging thunder and lightning outside of Chase's window, the electricity went out. Chase sighed and mumbled, "Shit, seriously?" he quickly shot Grayson a text.

Chase - My electricity went out.
Grayson - Mine didn't.
Chase - We have different electricity lines, you jerk.
Grayson - Ha, I know. I just like you admitting it.
Chase - Jerk. anywho, I'm going to the park, want to join?
Grayson - RAIN
Chase - Alright, see you there

Although it was midnight and raining, Chase used the weather to clear up his mind and headed to the park. As he passed his elementary school, he looked at the playground. Memories flooded his eyes of his first love, Selina. He fell to his knees on the wet grass, tears running down his face. He soon started having flashbacks, making him jump over the fence. He quickly ran to the middle of the field, where he had first told Selina that he loved her. He was down on his knees again, tears flowing out of his eyes. He pushed his face into the ground, not caring how wet and muddy it was.

Chase soon started screaming the same phrase over and over again. "I'm here! Tell me you love me!" After 2 minutes of his screaming, another flashback appeared.

Near the main entrance of the building, was Selina getting jealous about Chase hanging out with someone else during recess. Chase quickly stood up, running over to the spot. He shouted at the vision of the girl, "I was being nice! I would've killed to have you talk to me that month you were mad!!" Chase ran up to her, actually slamming into the wall.

He fell to the concrete in pain, holding his face. "Fuck!!!" he yelled, hoping to get Grayson's attention, where ever he was. Grayson had just left his house and was still unable to hear Chase's screams. Chase got up from the ground, his cheeks scratched and forehead bleeding. The rain mixed in with the blood and his tears stinged his cheeks. He winced in pain, looking over at the street. At the tree in the corner, he saw a couple standing and saw what looked like making out.

He quickly walked over, seeing Selina and her boyfriend kissing. "No!!" he screamed over and over again with all he had. He started punching the tree several times until his knuckles started to bleed. Grayson heard Chase's screams and started running, "Fucking hell!" Chase fell against the tree, the rain burning his wounds. Grayson saw his cousin on the floor, and quickly ran over to him. "Shit Chase, you're bleeding!" Chase was barely conscience, "i want her to see me.." he mumbled, referring to Selina making him feel invisible.
