Silent Monster became an important part of my daily routine. I am always looking for him in every man I meet in school, even outside the school. I pay attention when a guy is talking hoping I can recognize my mystery man. It's been five days since I've met this guy and I am starting to lose hope.
"Bakit ba kasi napakaimportante sa'yo ng Silent Monster na 'yan?" tanong ni Simon nang naglalakad kami papuntang garden. May kanya-kanyang lakad ang apat. Si Alice bumalik agas sa classroom, may gagawin lang daw. May 30 minutes pa bago matapos ang lunch break.
"I don't know. I just feel connected to him," sagot ko.
"Paanong connected? Are you saying that he's special to you?" si Simon.
"Special? Siguro...Yes, I think so. I won't feel this urge to know him if he's not, right?" I answered.
"You will see him again, don't worry. Maybe, he's just waiting for the right time. Just be patient." Simon said seriously. Hmmm...bakit parang ang seryoso din ngayon ni Simon? Kung makasabi ng 'just be patient' parang true.
"Basta maghintay ka lang. Tara na, balik na nga tayo," Ginulo lang ang buhok ko at nauna nang naglakad pabalik sa main campus. Parang nakakabasa ng iniisip ang lalakeng 'to. I have to run just to catch up with him. Nakakainis lang!
"Audrey, nakita ko 'to sa upuan mo kanina." bungad ni Alice nang makarating kami sa classroom It was a card, a small masquerade invitation card.
"Ano kaya 'yan? Dali, buksan mo na." excited na sabi ni Alice. Umupo na rin si Simon sa likuran. Nandoon na din ang apat at parang may importanteng pinag-uusapan. Maybe, it's a Black ShAdow thing so, hindi ko na rin sila pinansin. I opened the envelope and read what's written in the card. It was a very short message, but I can't believe what I was reading. Is this true? Makikilala ko na siya!
"Oi, ano'ng facial expression 'yan? Ano bang nakasulat?" tanong ni Alice.
"Finally, makikilala ko na si Silent Monster!" masayang bulalas ko.
"Ha? Paano? Ano ba kasing nakasulat?" I gave her the card and she read the short message.
"'Meet me at the royal pergola at 4 PM-Silent Monster', waaahh! Audrey, this is it! Makikilala mo na nga siya" masayang sabi ni Alice. Sinilip ko ang mga lalake sa likod. Mukha namang hindi nila napansin ang pagsigaw ni Alice.
"Shhh..Quiet! Ayaw ko muna sanang malaman ito nina Simon," saway ko kay Alice na mukhang mas excited pa sa akin.
"Bakit na naman hush-hush lang tayo? Alam mo naman mga iyan very protective pagdating sa'yo." sabi ni Alice pero kay Victor lang naman nakatingin. Which reminds me, I have to do something for them. Someone has to ignite the spark between them. I'm not a matchmaker but for my friend I will try to be one.
Going back to Silent Monster, I don't want them to know about him yet for the same reason Alice has said. They tend to be over protective. Gusto ko sanang makilala muna si Silent Monster bago ko sabihin sa kanila. Sinabi ko 'yon kay Alice at naintindihan naman niya.
Halos hilain ko ang oras para mag-alas-kuwatro na. Hindi ko din naiintindihan ang tinuturo ng teacher. All I'm thinking is Silent Monster. Is he good-looking. But, it doesn't matter if he's not. Mabait kaya siya? Nakilala ko na ba siya? I'm pretty sure he's also a senior student. There are 8 sections in the senior level. I am not that sociable kaya konti lang talaga ang kilala ko from other sections. Is he one of them?
