Chapter 16

Toby's POV

I was at the party,looking for Spencer,when suddenly,something pushed me in a room,and all I could remember after blacking out was an evil laugh.

I woke up in a room,filled with photos of Spencer and the other girls. I saw a black hoodie standing in front of me.

"Stay away from Spencer." he/she said.

"Who are you?!" I said,anger comming out of me.

"You'll find out soon. All I can say now is that I'm -A."

"-A".. I said to myself.

"You can go now. But remember,stay away from her,or she will get hurt. And what will happen to you,well.. that's a secret." -A said and dissapeard.

As soon as I escaped,I walked back home,texting Spencer,with tears forming in my eyes:

"We're over."

I had to do this. For her safety. But I am scared of what she might do. To herself.

Spencer's POV

"Come on Spence. I'll help you find him." Aria said.

"Thanks. In moments like these,it's really good to have a friend." I said,hugging her.

We searched for Toby in every corner of the house,and when we were about to check Toby's house,I got a text. Oh god,it's from Toby! I opened it faster than lightning,smiling. But my smile immediatly faded.

"What happened?" Aria asked,worried.

"Toby's breaking up with me.." I said with tears streaming down my face.

"Oh my god Spence.. I'm sure it'll be okay.."

"NO IT WON'T ARIA! HE WAS KEEPING ME ALIVE!" I yelled and started to run away from Aria. I just wanted to die. I needed to.I got home and ran into dad's office. I know exactly what I need to do. I opened the drawer and took his gun.

Aria's POV

"He was keeping me alive."

I tried to figure out what that could possibly mean,and that is when my mind lit up. She wants to kill herself. Aww my poor Spencey. I dialed Toby's number and he answered in a nick of time.

"Hello?" Toby said,with sadness in his voice.

"Toby. Spencer wants to kill herself."

"WHAT?!" he asked,shocked.

"I think she's home. Meet me there. NOW." I said and hung up.

I ran to Spencer's house and Toby was already there. Damn,he really cares about her.

We walked into Spencer's house,and saw that his dad's office door was opened. Oh no. There's a gun. Spencer was about to pull the trigger,when Toby and I screamed: "Spencer,NO!"

Spencer's POV

I was just about to pull that damn trigger,when I heard screams:

"Spencer,NO!"

I freaked out and dropped the gun,falling on the floor and crying. I could see Toby and Aria running to me.

"What are you doing?!" they said.

"You broke up with me. You were keeping me alive,and you knew that. You don't love me. You don't care. Nobody does."

"Spencer.." Toby said with his soft voice "I don't want to break up with you. -A kidnapped me and told me that if I see you again,he/she will hurt you and-"

"Wow wow wow. Wait. -A?!" the girls asked,worried.

"Yeah.. How do you know about -A?.."

"-A is torturing us since Ali-.." I wasn't able to finish the sentence because I started to cry,and Aria started to.

Toby calmed us and I told him that he should go,that it's for our both safety. He nodded and kissed me on the forhead,then walked back home."

I went in my bedroom with Aria. It was 11 pm,so I thought Aria should stay over and I brought her some PJs.

She took them and changed,then we both got into bed.

"Wanna tell me about this 'dying' thing?.." she asked,not wanting to press me.

I slowly nodded,pulled up my sleeves and showed her my arms.

"Spencer,I-.."

"Just don't say anything,okay? Team Sparia?"

"Team Sparia." she said while hugging me. A few tears fell on my cheeks,but Aria calmed me down and I began telling her what happened after Ali's death.
