I was absolutely pissed about Adam winning our little game. I just wanted to be alone with Cass for a month so we could get further in our bet and so I can get her to fall for me.

I mean, who wouldn't fall for Andrew Hackels.

"Everyone."

I look over at my co-worker with a perplexed look.

"You were thinking aloud." She replied dryly.

I gave her a small 'psh' as I rolled my eyes. "You have no say in that. You talk your thoughts all the time." If I had a nickel for every time she has thought aloud, I would be more rich than I already am.

"And? I've been working that stuff out." She said as she smiled and greeted our next costumers. I must say, she looks very beautiful when she smiles. But I don't like her or anything. I'm way out of her league.

"I believe I'm out if yours." She said with a smirk.

"What all did you hear?"

"That you like it when I smile and that you don't like me and how high your ego is..." She trailed off.

"I don't have a high ego."

"You feed your ego on a daily basis, Andrew."

"Nu uhhh."

"Yu-huh."

"No."

"Yes."

"Nope."

"Yup."

"No."

"Ci."

I raised an eyebrow. "Spanish? Really?"

"I knew it would get me the last word in the argument. So ha!" She walked away and over to Cam to talk to him.

I hear them both laugh, guessing they were making jokes or just said something funny. Cam leaned against the doorframe of the kitchen as he ran his fingers through his blond hair.

"I've really enjoyed having you work with me Cass." He said, with a warm smile and twirling one of his fingers on a strand of her hair. She pushed his hand away from her and had a nervous expression glued to her.

"It's been very fun working with you too, Cameron."

"We should hang out sometime, y'know, at my place. Netflix and chill?" He suggested.

"I'll have to pass. I have...to...feed my...narwhals...yeah." She chuckled.

"Narwhals?"

"I meant to say dog...but I really like narwhals."

"Uh-huh? So maybe later on?"

"No I'll be busy all month. With work."

"Common. I give you a day off. You already work really hard." He offered.

"Cameron. She said no." I spoke up to him.

He looked over at me with a mean glare. "Alright. Well y'all's shift just ended so be gone."

"But Cam, it's only 1:23." Cassie pointed out.

"Yes I know. Just go on and be with your boyfriend."

"I'm not her boyfriend.."I said as she said, "He's not my boyfriend."

"That's what they all say."

I went to go get my phone as we exited the dinner. We both hopped into Cassie's car and pulled out of the parking lot. "Cam sure has been flirty lately." I said out of no where.

"Yeah, it's ticking me off. Plus he like 25 and I'm only 19." She said as she sped up.

"Does that mean your way out if his league?" I joked with her.

"Defiantly. But I'm out of everyone's league." She laughed out.

"Now who's feeding their ego?"

"Me. But let's face it, it's been a little hungry so it needing some food."

"Good point."

She pulled into her driveway and turned the car off. "Okay, before we get out of the car, do you want or need to go home?"

"Nah, I'm all good." I replied as I got out.

To be honest, I really like Cassie's place. It's very welcoming and homey. Plus she has a doggy.

We walked up the stairs to her house and she pulled her key out and unlocked the door. The first thing we were greeted by was a huge German Shepard. Cassie opened her arms as Bella ran towards us. What really got me was when she rand pass Cassie and to me instead, tackling me to the ground.

"Traitor!"

"You made a good decision of joining the dark side, Bella."

She licked my face some before she retreated to the living room. "Can't believe she likes you that much."

"What can I say, I'm good with the ladies." I winked at her.

There was a loud knock at the door as we set our things down. "Did you order something or is this random?"

"This is just random." She said walking over to the door.

There was a small standing there looking away and had a small box in her hands. When I looked closer at her figure and height my mind was starting to ponder. Then she turned to face me. It was my little sister.

"What are you doing here?"

"My friend lives here and we work together so we came here." I said.

"Well I'm looking for Cassie." She said.

"I'm right here."

She handed the box to her and then ran off. Why in such a rush?

"Who is she?" Cassie said as she closed the door behind her.

"That was Jennifer. My little sister." I groaned out.

"You have a little sister?"

"Had, more like. She moved out to go to a private school out in California. She's just visiting I guess." I explained to her.

"Huh. Well you guys are defiantly related in personality." She snorted.

"What ever." I sighed and ran my hands through my hair.

She set the small box down on the coffee table and walked into her bedroom.

"What's even in this box?" I yelled to her.

"Don't know, don't care!" She yelled back.

I guess we will never know, until she opens it herself.

Damn now I'm really courious.
