AN: Okay so I know it's been a hella long time since I actually updated anything on here and I don't have much of an excuse. School has ended for me but now I have work, although I am planning many more updates for all of my stories. Also I have a Haikyuu!! story up and in progress on AO3 titled Sun and Moon. I'm also working a a much longer novel style original work and a ZimBits check please! story. Most of all though I've just been having a ton of writers block with some of my stories including this one. I promise that I will update a frequent as I can but I also try to only put out what I deem as good quality stories. I'm really happy that people still like my stuff and it makes me smile every time I see someone comment. Thank you guys so much and I look forward to future updates!

Karkat POV~~

Waking up in Dave's arms is something I've decided that I will never get tired of. At some point during the Titanic cry fest, the two of us must have fallen asleep although I don't really remember when. I turned myself around and was met with a pair of sparkling red eyes. "Hey there" Dave whispers with a smile.

"Hey yourself." I say, snuggling myself into Dave's chest and attempting to re-enter my slumber.

"Come on Kitkat, school awaits." Dave says in an attempt to coerce me out of sleep. Ugh, I completely forgot what day was. Not only is it Monday but it's the we have to turn in our creative short story English projects.

I breathe out a long sigh before I look up at Dave. "You do remember what day it is, right?"

"Of course Kitkat, it's the day I finally get to hear that story that you've been working so hard on." Dave says with a grin that could put the Cheshire cat to shame. I slide myself off the couch ever so gracefully, AKA falling flat on my face, and walked upstairs to get ready and grab my books. I tossed on my normal outfit and grabbed my backpack, making sure that I had all of my assignments, and made my way back downstairs. I made my way into the kitchen to find Dave at the stove with some pancake mix.

Pancakes are supposed to be super easy to make, right? Until you try to cook them with a Strider. After spending ten minutes deciding what was going to be added into the batter (Dave was very determined to add apple) we actually began mixing. That's when everything went wrong. First Dave got a little too excited about mixing and ended up with batter on both our shirts, in his hair, and on his glasses. I slowly backed out of the kitchen, thinking I could slip
away when a handful of flour was lobbed at my head. I spun around, face to face with a smug pair of black shades.
"Hey there." Dave says, the sly grin still gracing his face.
"Hey yourself." I deadpanned as I cracked an egg onto his head.
Dave just stood there and stared at me as I bolted up the stairs, giggling the whole way.

After grabbing a quick shower, Dave begging to join in, I grabbed my spiral red English notebook and wandered down to the kitchen following the scent of pancakes. Dave stood at the stove, completely unaware of my presence, singing some random pop song. Perfect time to get back at him for the in front of dad.  I slithered up behind him, wrapped my arms around his waist, placed a slow kiss on his neck, and whispered in his ear "gotcha."
