CHAPTER TWO

KARKAT POV---------

I walked into my home, still smiling from what happened today. "I'M HOME!" I shouted as i place my backpack on the couch. "How was your day?" I heard my dad ask from the kitchen. "Great actually.'' I answered as i walked in to the kitchen. "Oh really? Why was it so good?" My father asked with his back turned from me as he made afternoon pancakes. "Why don't you turn around?" I replied. My father turned around his eyes closed as if he was about to give a lecture. "You know Karkat I really shouldn't take my eyes off thi-.." He stopped as he opened his eyes. I smiled and said " I think you can guess." My father ran up and hugged me. "OH MY GOG KARKAT I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE THIS, I..I NEED TO GET MY CAMERA!" He shouted as he ran up the steps. I laughed and walked into my room, plopping myself in front of my computer. I logged on to pesterchum and typed in Dave's username. 

CarcinoGentetecist began pestering TurntechGodhead at 4:20 pm

CG: HEY 

TG: hey why are you typing in all caps

CG: MY COMPUTER SUCKS AND THE CAPS LOCK HAS BEEN STUCK FOR LIKE A YEAR.

TG: wow kitkat that is just..really babe..really

CG: 1) DID YOU JUST CALL ME BABE AND KITKAT? 2) IT'S NOT MY FAULT

TG: the fault in our keyboards

CG: REALLY DAVE?

TG: oh hush you know you love me

CG: WHILST THAT MAY BE TRUE THAT JOKE WAS JUST... NO

TG: you loved it

CG: NO WAY

TG: yes way

CG: FINE

TG: 1-dave 0-kitkat

CG: OH SHUT THE FUCK UP

TG: i cant the fuck just wont go up. it is a defiant little fuck

CG: GOD FUCKING DAMN IT DAVE

TG: love you too

CG: YEAH YEAH

TG: i have to go eat dinner see you tomorrow hot stuff

CG: DAVE WHAT THE FUCK AND SEE YOU TOMORROW LOVER BOY 

CarcinoGeneticist stopped pestering TurntechGodhead at 5:10pm

I smiled at my computer and then walked downstairs to go eat my "afternoon" pancakes. I walked into the kitchen to find my father sitting at the kitchen table waiting for me with a smile on his face. "H..hi dad?" I said, confused about why he was waiting for me. "Hello son, sit down. I am going to tell you the story of how i met your mother. unless it triggers you. because then i will stop." He said as he pointed to my normal spot at the table. 

TIME SKIP BECAUSE I DON'T FEEL LIKE WRITING THE WHOLE STORY------

"And that's how your mother and i made you." My father finished with a smile. I excused myself from the table. "Why....." I whispered as I walked up the stairs. I walked up the steps and into my room. I looked over to my computer. Dave was offline so I laid down on my bed and put in my headphones. I started playing the nightcore version of the song "Dollhouse" by Melanie Martinez. At some point i must have fallen asleep because i woke up to the sound of my beeping alarm. I walked over to my dresser and saw that all my shirts now had color. I ran over to my laptop and messaged Dave.

CG: DAVE ARE ALL YOUR CLOTHES COLORFUL NOW

TG: yes.

CG: OH OKAY THEN

CarcinoGeneticist stopped pestering TurntechGodhead at 7:20am

I picked up a black shirt with a cancer zodiac sign on it, a pair of grey skinny jeans and a pair of red vans. I walked out of my house, shouted to my dad that i was leaving and walked to the bus stop. I sat down on the bench and pulled out my book. "HEY SHORT STUFF'' John shouted at me. I looked up and saw him stomping towards me. "Get the fuck away from me shit for brains." I said to him, looking back down at my book. He grabbed my arm and threw me down on the concrete. "What the fuck did you say bitch?!" He shouted at me. "I SAID GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME!" I shouted as I grabbed his leg and tried to throw him down. It didn't help that he was 5''8 and I am only 5''3. He grabbed my by the front of my shirt and swung two quick punches at my face. Then he kneed my in the stomach and threw me on the ground. The bus pulled up and he went to get on. I walked up to the bus but John reached over and slammed the door. "SORRY LITTLE BITCHES HAVE TO WALK TO SCHOOL!'' He yelled out the window as the bus drove off. 

TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY SMOSH'S KAWAII FACES-------

I walked into my first class and nodded to Mrs. Lejion. Her eyes widened at the sight of me but she didn't say anything. I watched a smile appear on John's face as i walked to my seat. I sat down in my chair and pulled out my sketch book and since Dave wasn't there yet, i began sketching Hinata (from Haikyuu!!). My face was throbbing and my stomach felt like it had been run over by a car but I ignored it. Two minutes after the bell rang, Dave walked into the classroom. He handed Mrs. Lejion his late pass and walked to his desk next to mine. I looked up from my drawing and his jaw dropped as he looked at my freshly bruised face. He sat down, pulled out a piece of paper and wrote a note. When he was finished writting he folded it up and passed it to me. "WHO THE HELL DID THIS TO YOU?!" was scribbled on it in his messy handwriting. "It doesn't matter.." I scribbled back. "Meet me in our field." He scribbled back. 

TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY WALL MARIA--------(still karkat's pov)

i walked out to the large field behind the school and sat down in the middle of the grass. I pulled out my sketch book and started putting the details on Hinata's uniform. I stopped sketching when a tall, dark shadow loomed over me. I looked up at Dave and his expression was a mix of serious and worry. "Who beat you up?" He asked. I sighed and gave him the same response as i had in class. "I does matter!" He shouted. I flinched when he shouted. When Dave raised his voice, even though you couldn't see his eyes through those dark black shades, you could see all the emotions present on his face. Anger, Worry, Fear, Violence and Pain. When I flinched I watched all of those emotions fade and the only emotion that colored his face was Fear. "Oh..Oh my gog kitkat i am so sorry. I didn't mean to yell it's just I-" He said as he sat down in front of me. "It's fine. I just have a headache from being slammed into concrete." I reassured him. He pulled me into his lap and cuddled me into his chest. "That's why i want to know who did this to you. I want them to feel the same pain that you feel. I don't want anyone to hurt you. I love you kitkat." He said softly. In that moment the whole world seemed to stop turning and it was just like what happened in my cheesy romance novels. I looked up at Dave and kissed him. "I love you too." I whispered as i curled back up in his lap. The bell rang for us to return to class and we complied. At the end of the day Dave turned to me and asked "Wanna come over to my house after school?". I waited for a moment and finally decided to go with him. We walked to his home, which only took about five minutes, and he told me when we got to the door to watch out for swords. This made me nervous as I walked in but I put it aside and walked past the thresh hold.
