Did It Hurt When You Fell From Heaven?

AAFIA’S POV

The guys were screaming at each other in panic, I was about to shout something too but I felt my surroundings fade away until I was alone. I seemed to be in a garden where everything was white. Normally white is associated with peace and serenity, but at the moment it seemed rather creepy. There were white roses, bushes, leaves, even the sky was completely white. The atmosphere around me was empty and clustered at the same time. I looked around in frenzy, trying to look for something familiar and comforting to maintain my grip on sanity. That was when he appeared before me. Sculpted features, expressionless face. Beautiful, other than the fact that his eyes were completely white, devoid of any pupils. I took a frantic step back and tripped over a white rock, landing on my butt. That’s when I realized that I had been standing and my casts were off.

“What is this place, and who are you.”

“Why do you ask, if you already have the answer.”, He replied ominously, as he twirled a white rose in his hand.

I looked around once more, trying to make a connection, to see if I did in fact know this place. Nothing.

“Don’t screw with me, tell me where I am. This is some sick joke.” My voice hitched in my throat as my trachea had started to contract due to the fear building up in my chest. My mind was blank. As blank as my surroundings. I shook my head, I wasn’t going to let my fear get to my head. I needed to fight back. I signaled the man towards me.

“Come here,” I whispered. He took a step closer. Then without warning I used my ninja unicorn skills and grabbed him in an unbreakable choke-hold.

“Tell me what is going on, or so help me, you will be on the ground unconscious in a matter of seconds.” I growled, anger replacing fear. I hated pranks.

The man smiled and I sent him an incredulous look. How could he be so calm and nonchalant, despite my very serious threat.

“Aah, it’s nice to know that you still have that fire in you.’ He chuckled, “Ok, let’s make a deal, you let me go and I’ll give you a hint. Don’t try to negotiate, it would do no good, I can stand here forever.” I thought this through; it seemed a reasonable enough request, considering I had already managed to bruise his neck.

“Fair enough, but it has to be a good hint, not some stupid riddle.”

He stepped back, and straightened himself. He looked me right in the eyes, with that creepy pupil-less eyes of his, I wonder if he could even see. He smiled at me. That smile, come to think of it, he did seem very familiar.

“Come on Aafia, think, you know this. I know you feel that you have a higher purpose in this world, rather than just being some girl who pretends to be blonde. Isn’t in weird that 5 international heart throbs, a world renowned band randomly fell from the sky, on you. And how it started snowing all of a sudden in Karachi? And that hippie dude. Ok, even I have to admit that your friends dressed as vegetables are kind of weird.” That earned a smile of me, which I tried to hide by snapping at him instead.

“Hey, this was not part of the deal, you’re supposed to be giving me a hint, as to what is going on here.”

“Aafia, look closely, this place seems familiar to you because this is the garden where you first stumbled upon supernatural beings when you were 8.” When he saw my expression, he burst out laughing with actual tears in his eyes. 

“Hahahahah you should have seen the look on your face! That was too good. I’m just screwing with you, this is just some random garden.” He said, wiping away a tear.

 Then suddenly he became very serious again, “But there is something else. You should know that two boy bands fighting is a sign of the apocalypse. Get ready because some freaky shizz is about to happen. Good luck, kthanksbye. And with that my surroundings faded and I found myself back in the restaurant.
