Chapter 13

*Marilyn's Point Of View *

Michael just left a few minutes ago. He had to go to work. I gotta find me a job. But I don't think that's going to happen. Anyways, I want to surprise him at work, so I'm going shopping to find something cute to wear. I get up and walk to the kitchen. I grab a few carrots out the fridge. I hum and chew as walk back to my room. I take my phone off the charger to call Bobbie and Melissa. Melissa answers then Bobbie, "hey chica whats up?",Melissa said. "hey Ms Jackson! ",Bobbie added. "haha hey girls since it's summer and we have nothing to do y'all want to go shopping?, "Girl you read my mind! ",Melissa screamed. "Bobbie?", "Umm sorry Marilyn I kinda can't because I'm out  of town", Bobbie said kinda sad. "For how long?", I said laying on my bed. Silence., "Bobbie for how long? ",Melissa said clearly agitated. Bobbie sighs through the phone. "Well for 8years", "You have to be joking tell me you are joking?", I said gasping. "Why Bobbie? ", Melissa said getting sad. "Well remember how Ms Wilson was talking about me maybe graduating early? ", "Uhh yeah", I said while Melissa was silently breathing. "Well I graduated 2 weeks ago I just couldn't tell you guys, And my mom wouldn't let me stay another day because She said I need to stay focus for college ", Silence., "H-hello guys I-I'm sooo sorry it was unexpected", Melissa hangs up. I sigh. "It's ok I will miss you!", "I will miss yall too!", We talk for an hour and hang up. I text Melissa to see if she wants to still go shopping. She said yeah so I'm waiting for her to come pick me up. She finally arrives. I get in the car. "Don't look so down it's for the best She said she will keep in touch ok?", Melissa looks at me and back head as we pull out my drive way. On the way to the mall, it was silent the whole ride there . When we got there, I picked out a cute white creame lace High-Low dress and found a pair of cute 3 inch sandal wedges. Melissa found a simple red sun dress and red sandals. Then we got our nails done and bought matching jewelry for our outfits. On the ride back it was silent. So I decided to break the silence. "Melissa can I ask you something?", She stops at red light. "Yeah go ahead", "One are you happy with Austin and do you like Michael?", She looks at me then back the road as the light turned green. "Yes I'm happy and what do you mean do I like Michael?", "Well you flirt with him and you compare Austin to him a lot.. ", We pull in my drive way "I don't know what you are talking about I don't want Michael I'm with Austin", She huffs. "I was just-", She cuts me off. "Marilyn don't start acting like Evelyn with that paranoid shit ok!", She said visibly mad. "Plus if I wanted Michael I could have  been had him bye!", She said speeding off", " Wait! What does she mean?", I said to myself walking back in the house...
*few hours later *

I'm on my way to Michael's job. He gets off in 30min. I have already took a shower and I have on my new clothes I just bought, and sprayed myself down with Mariah Carey Forever. I pull up to FunStation. I get out and peek in.It's not that busy today, I see Michael wiping down a table. Then he goes to take someone's order. I walk all the way in and see Michael's boss walking towards me. "Hey Marilyn you must be here for Michael?", "Ha-ha yeah I am but don't tell him I'm here he doesn't know", "Aww isn't that sweet",He cooed looking at Michael. I cheese. "Ha-ha yeah I'll be right back", I go out to my car and get the bag of skittles and the bottle of orange juice, I bought earlier for Michael. Then I walk back in, "so you bought him gifts too huh? Well aren't you girlfriend of The year?, And to think when I first met you, you guys were 'friends'", "Ha-ha, But no I'm just treating my boyfriend he deserves it", He nods. "Oh ok well I gotta go host this little boys party you have a nice day", "Ok I will bye Mr. Wallace", "Bye Marilyn", He walks away and I find a table to sit at and cover my face with the menu. "Hello welcome to funstation glad you came aboard our fun train how may I help you?", Said a familiar voice. I peek to the left of my menu. It's Michael. "Well I'm looking for a handsome tall man with black curly hair", "Oh well I don't know who that could be  ma'am but I can ready you  today's special?", "The only special in here I want is you sir", I said in my fake southern voice. "Well ma'am *clears throat * I can come back when you are ready to order", aww he is getting nervous, "No honey you can read me the specials", I said still doing the fake accent. "Ik well we have 50 cent each wings and-", I cut him off. "Are you single?", "*clears throat * "No I'm happily taken by my girlfriend",He said proudly. "Oh that's cute and I'll have the wings", "Ok ma'am what flavor?", "Surprise me", "Ok anything else?", "No honey that will do", "Ok I'll be back in a few ", He said walking away. "Hold on sir", "Yes? ", I grab a napkin and wrote a note  and slide it to him. "Call me when your girl messes up honey", "Umm no thanks ", He side sliding it back but I slide it back. "Just look at honey", He takes and reads it. *Hey babe thought I would surprise you at work take my menu. -♥Marilyn * He looks at me and slowly takes the menu from my face and looks surprised at me. "Ha-ha you got me you should become an actress that was good thanks for surprising me","Ha-ha I know, here I got you two things", I said handing him the skittles and orange juice. He smiles like a little kid. "Aww thanks babygirl you know me so well", He said kissing my cheek. I smile. "Now honey where's my order?", I said in my southern accent again. "Ha-ha coming right up baby girl", He said walking away. At least this kinda reassured me he would never cheat...*30 minutes later *
