Shallow. That's what our society is, Why you ask, continue to read this essay and understand the foolish and young girl's point of view.
First of all, why does everyone care if I'm fat or not? short or tall? comely or normal looking? Personally if one my friends isn't what our society call ''hot" I wouldn't care as long as she's nice and sweet. I don't want an attractive so called friend, I want a true friend. Now I'm not saying don't make friends with pretty girls, in fact all my friends are pretty from inside and outside, I'm just saying because that if a girl is pretty doesn't mean she's a good friend, and if she's not and you stay her friend. You're just a follower she probably don't care about, so if you make fun of someone for being fat, short or ugly, although I believe everyone is beautiful in their own way, then you deserve being hated. Second of all, I care about my grades and respect all my teachers, got a problem with that? That doesn't make me weak, it makes me a polite person, just because you aren't a ''nerd'' does NOT give you the right to make fun of someone who is. Last but definitely not least, rumours. If you are a sick person who makes up rumours then you deserve no mercy from the person you lied about, you deserve to be abandoned with no friends. Don't spread rumours and don't discuss them at all, and if you hear someone talk about it, look them straight in the eyes and say ''Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people''
Can we forget how others look like and just concentrate on what really matter? For once, let's like someone for their personality not their looks. Just be yourself and be friends with people you actually like, and if you don't my point of view, take a number and stand in line. See if I care.
