Masquerade ball - Kiss

It's already eight o'clock and the ball was about to begin. I was all alone in a corner. Everyone around me was wearing a mask so I can't tell who they are.

I was wearing a blue mask to pair with my dress.

"Excuse me, are you Charlotte?" a man asked.

"Nope." I answered then he left.

Maybe that was Matthew and he was trying to look for her, how sweet.

"Good afternoon everyone!" I looked in the stage and saw Mr. South holding the mike. "This is our fifth masquerade ball in South school and please enjoy." Then he left the stage.

After he left, food came in a parade. Everyone run into the tables and get their own plates. I joined them and choose some non-fat meals.

While eating, I looked around and expecting that I might find Charlotte or Lance but failed.

I've finished eating and I felt like visiting the bathroom. I run away from the auditorium and went to the bathroom. I saw many girls in there having chats and putting some lipstick. I went to a cubicle.

"I hope Clarence would dance with me." I heard one of the girls said.

"No he won't, cause he's going to dance with me." one of her friends answered.

I sighed. How could they tell that the guy they'd dancing with was Clarence, everyone was wearing a mask so it's impossible. I went out of the cubicle and returned to the auditorium and love is in the air.

There was a love song being aired and every girl is having their prince charming dancing with them.

I was surprised when someone suddenly pulled me in my arm into the crowd and wrapped his right arm into my waist and his left hand held my right hand.

"W-what are you doing?" I asked but he didn't answer. "I'm sorry but I don't know how to dance." I said but he didn't answer. He just kept dancing even though I can't follow him.

"Do I know you?" I asked.

He just smiled.

I think I blushed. He was wearing a white suit and a white mask. I can't take a good look at his face.

"You look great on that dress." He said.

I glanced at my wrist watch and it was already nine in the evening.

"Thank you, but I'm sorry, can we stop?" I said.

"Ysabel."

I was surprised when he said my name. It seems like he knows me. I raised my head and stared him in his eyes.

But I was more surprised when he kissed me on my lips. 0.0 I don't know what to do. I don't know how to react. He kissed me gently and pulled me in my waist even closer to him.

I slowly closed my eyes but Clarence's face suddenly popped out in my mind. I pushed the guy away from me.

"I'm sorry but," I bowed my head. "I have to go."

I run outside the auditorium and out of the campus. I called for a taxi. While I was in the taxi, I felt like crying. I've always like Clarence but that man just stole my first kiss.

After a while, I arrived at home. I run immediately to my room and locked myself. I want to see Clarence and say to him I like him once more.
