All the anger in me vanishes as i listen to his soft sobs. I was very mad at him for shooting Paolo twice and not letting me visit, but he doesn't need me to hate him. He needs me to be there for him and i don't know how to. I was so used to seeing the brave and scary Actaeon that when it comes to this opening up and breaking down situations, i don't know what to do anymore.

So what do i do?

I looked down at Actaeon who's leaning against my chest with his arms wrapped around my waist. He fell asleep, crying. I kissed his forehead as i wrap my arms around his hair, pulling him closer.

I don't understand how they cannot have leads of where his sister might be. Actaeon is very powerful man. he has a lot of connections, heck he fucking controls the police so how is this possible? I sighed, getting frustrated just thinking about this. I can tell Actaeon's in a lot of pressure right now. I closed my eyes, feeling very tired.

I woke up with my arms empty. Where is Actaeon? I groan, standing up and going to the bathroom to brush my teeth. After that, i went downstairs to see enzo and actaeon talking with a low voice, like they dont want anybody to hear. "Enzo?" I called out and their attention turned to me. Enzo grinned, waving.

"Hey! Its been a year." He grinned and i just nod, looking at Actaeon who looks like he's in a deep thought. I grabbed his hand and he looks up to me then pulling me on his lap, kissing my forehead. "Morning." He whispered and i nodded, feeling uncomfortable doing this in front of Enzo, but it looks like he doesn't mind.

"Continue." Actaeon said and Enzo nodded. "Okay so we went to California where Halah was last seen and we confronted every street that Halah walked into. We looked at each cctv footage and most of them are gone since its been a year Halah was kidnapped, but there was one footage where Halah was walking alone and it looks like someone was following her. Specifically, 5 guys and 1 van was parked a few meters away from them. We don't know who it is though since it was night and apparently, the camera was blurry we didn't see their faces. They're also wearing bandannas. Thats the only thing that we've seen. The last store that we confronted, they don't want us to look into their cctv. They don't believe that we work for you they said its bullshit. And also, they warned us that if we don't stop confronting them, they file a lawsuit against us." Enzo explained and i felt Actaeon clenching his fist's on my sides.

"So what do we do?" Enzo asked. Thats a lot to take in, but i still don't understand why they didn't do this sooner? And how the fuck did they know she was kidnapped? What if she just ran away and shit?

"Send me the footage and i'll call paul to investigate it but first, i'll kill that motherfucker who doesn't want to show their footage." I shivered at that. Scary and dangerous Actaeon is back again.

"Pack your things princess. We're going to California."
