IT WAS BOTH naive and far-fetched to think that the journey of two Amodeis and two sons of Odin, only one of which claimed the title in a biological sense, would be all smooth sailing. Only a handful of threats and warnings aimed at Loki and Nova later, the group finally wound up in the small ship of the Dark Elves, fitting for transporting the Asgardians out of the realm — at the very least, once the complicated technology would be comprehended by the future king of Asgard, who was slamming his hands into the control system with frustration. Nova had obtained more than enough knowledge about all sorts of vessels to help start the ship, but rather than cutting her own amusement short and assisting Thor, she was curiously observing Olympia from across the narrow cockpit.

A sense of inevitable tension had landed in the air between them after Nova had so boldly flaunted about her kills, and she certainly didn't miss the resentful stare beaming from Olympia's eyes — the kind that was hard to imagine in the affectionate blue. Instead of battling one another, though, they were standing at a fair distance from each other, and silently wondering what was going on in the other's head. Nova doubted Olympia understood her pain, however. Yes, she had committed unforgivable acts, but the anger and violence in her hadn't been born out of nothing. She had taken her fair share of beatings, and the coldness crossing Olympia's features suggested that she was forgetting to calculate those in.

"No—don't hit it, just press it gently", Loki broke the silence with a stern instruction, earning a grunt from Thor who was slowly but surely losing his mind. With a snort, Nova folded her arms over her chest and drove her attention from her drained sister to Loki, who was eyeing Thor with an equally judgmental stare of mere disbelief. The blonde, on the other hand, wasn't encouraged by his advice, but simply kept on slapping both palms flat against the dozens of buttons in the hopes of the ship coming to life.

"I am pressing it gently, it's not working!" By some miracle, Thor's own disgruntled shout was interrupted by the sound of the ship lighting up and humming as a sign of being ready to obey Thor's commands. Victoriously, the God of Thunder cackled with booming laughter whilst Loki and Nova both rolled their eyes, side by side, united in their bitter intellect. Nonetheless, it was an undeniable rush to feel the vessel slowly rise from the ground with a suspicious grumble, and instinctively, Nova reached for Loki's arm with a tight grip, and with his lips twisting up, the man shot her a glance.

With a scoff, Nova pulled away, the surge of embarrassment and weakness driving her away from Loki as she let go and forced a gulp down her throat. Ruthlessly ignoring the longing look Loki directed at her, she pretended to be fine with the fact that Thor seemed to have no clue how to fly the thing and continued to break everything in their way. Fortunately, the lack of talent was enough for Loki to turn back to his brother, a mocking remark rolling off his tongue as the ship burst through the throne room and shot across the sky.
