Chapter 3
Jordan's Pov.
I slowly opened my eyes and sat up. My stomach still hurt from last night. Standing, I went to the bathroom. I looked into the mirror and slowly lifted up my shirt to reveal the bruises that covered 50% of my stomach. I just sighed and got into the shower. 10 minutes later I got out and got ready like usual. Grabbing my things I made my way downstairs hoping to avoid my father. Once I got to the door I heard a voice from behind me.
"Jordan," My dad said as he walked over to me I turned around and looked up at him.
"Listen I'm...I'm sorry about what I did," He said as he went to put his hand on my shoulder. I flinched at the contact. When he saw my reaction he made a gruff noise of dissatisfaction, and walked away without another word.
Once I got to school I saw Anna walking over to me. I groaned in annoyance. She was the last person that I wanted to see. She somehow always knew when something was wrong and wouldn't give up until I told her what it was.
"Hey Jordan, how was your night?" She she asked while smiling at me.
"It was fine" I shrugged and looked down.I knew immediately that what I said was suspicious.
"You're lying to me. Come on Jordan, we talked about this, you can tell me anything. So please tell me what happened" She pressured with a worried look. I shook my head. I wish she would just leave this alone for once.
"Everything is fine, I swear. Why would I lie to you?" I put my hands in my sweatshirt pocket as I looked at her. She sighed with defeat and continued to walk with me into the school.
Looking at the clock in the hall I realized that class was going to start any minute, hurriedly I turned a corner, only to be met face first with a hard body, and I fell to the floor.
"Oh sorry man i didn't see you" Someone said while reaching out to me. I simply sighed as I gathered my things that were now scattered.
"It's fine, I was going to be late anyway." I grumbled. Finally, I look up only to see the bright green eyes that I had grown to love. I gratefully grabbed his hand, and tried not to blush as he pulled me up. I stumbled a little.
"Um hi I'm Luca, uh I don't think we have met," He smiled and held out his hand once again wanting for me to shake it.
"I'm Jordan" I just shrugged, not wanting to touch him again. I put my hands in my pocket. "So I better get going, you know classes and all..." I awkwardly chuckled. He nodded and walked in the other direction. I couldn't help but turn for a moment and watch him leave. Once he was down the hall I finally turned to get to class.
All throughout my classes I couldn't help but think of Luca. He was On my mind more and more. But I was glad that it took my mind off of my father.
Finally, The thought of Luca began to make me depressed and I tried to focus only on school. The rest of the day went by in a blur.
I slowly began to walk home. I did not know what to expect from my father. I also couldn't help but wonder where my mother and sister went. I slowly opened the door and walked in. It was dark, I heard footsteps coming towards me and next thing I knew there was a sharp pain in my cheek and my breath was knocked out of me. I looked up and saw my dad looking at me. His breath reeked of vodka and his eyes were furious. I flinched back as he began to yell.
"You're and disgrace of a son and I wish your mother took you with her so I didn't have to see your face ever again." He looked at me again and just walked away. I ran to my room and shut the door slowly so I wouldn't get punched in the face twice in one day. I Just laid down and hoped I could forget for just a few hours.
