The turbulence wakes me up from my deep sleep, also cutting my dream. As I open my eyes, I scan the place and realize that I was still inside the plane. Chucky was reading the newspapers.

"Can't sleep?" He glances at me with a question then back at the paper.

I shake my head, "I was asleep until the plane shook me awake."

He keeps his eyes on the obituary while snickering, "We still got an hour left in this damn plane. Better keep busy and take a nap. "

I pause for awhile, staring out of nowhere trying to recall the images. I couldn't help but heave a deep sigh.

"Everything alright?"

"Yeah, just...recalling a dream I had."

"What was it about?"

"Something impossible." I murmured.

It's been a while since I've been having dreams, and I've never had anything like it.

Chucky was nice and gentle. His kisses were soft. He just wasn't himself at all. He was a gentleman.

Chuck's a psycho but a loving one. And I love him for that. I fell for that. I'm used to it. But the dream made me feel things...things that I cannot ever hope for because it isn't the life I chose. I have to snap out of it.

"Well their food here is fucking delicious, Prettyface! Didn't think it was possible for an airline to serve this." he suddenly says, gorging on the food the lady had served him a moment ago.

I glance at him and couldn't help but smile.

He might not be gentle or reserved, but he's damn honest. He speaks his mind. And that's a good thing.

As long as I get to be with this man who shares the same beliefs—killing people who deserve it—then we'll be fine.

Right?

Chucky steps out of the airport with me as he pulls on the luggage. He looks around, squinting his eye from the sun.

"I'm gonna go get a cab."

I stand next to him and adjust my sunglasses. "That won't be necessary," I say as Chucky looks my way, noticing a black supercat headed our way.

Suddenly, everyone standing on the curb is staring at the car parked in front of us. The guy I called steps out and hands me the keys.

"Holy shit, Prettyface—"

I smirk as a response as the car's previous driver takes the luggage from me, "I know, I know."

I head to the driver's side of the car and he snaps at me, "Whoa, you are not taking the driver's seat."

"And why not?"

"I drive."

"Scared to hit the dashboard again?" I tease.

"Just get in the car, please." He begs.

"Fine," I walk all the way to the other side and he opens the door for me. Before I can even react, he says, "Buckle up."

I climb in the car and he closes the door.

He gets in the car and starts the engine. "How I wonder if the brakes work!" he teases while glancing at me.

I glare at him, "Don't."

"I won't," he says and starts driving away. But after a moment, he steps on the brakes and back at the gas.

"Stop!" I shout at him, my hands supporting myself on the dashboard as he laughs at me.
