We speed off the empty highway and up to the top of the hill. Chucky keeps his eyes straight as the sun sinks between the mountains, both hands on the It's like he never forgot to drive as a human.
We drove past a quiet street, where the palm trees danced with the wind.
As I pointed at a house on a hill, his mouth opens wide. The gates open as I press a button on a remote I'm holding, allowing us to pass. He shakes his head and drives.
We finally reach a wide parking space in front of the house. I take my seatbelt off.
"You hear that?" I ask,
His eyebrows furrow, "Hear what?"
"The sound of silence," I sigh." Can't wait to finally have its presence."
Chucky smirks and takes his seatbelt off, "Not tonight, you won't."
I look at him, flashes of images in my head, "What?"
He leans closer, "We'll be loud tonight, that's for sure."
"Damn it, Chucky." I push him off, "Help me move the boxes in first."
"Come on!"
I open the car door and laugh, "I don't want a hard time getting out of this car."
He snickers, "Okay. After."
"After." I say and leave the car.

This house was definitely a good pick. I have to salute Megan about that. She has houses in different places that I don't even know about and it turns out to be one of the neatest.
"This house is amazing," I tell her, putting the boxes at the carpet.
She walks in the living room, her hands on her waist, "You like it?"
"I love it." I nod, "It's beautiful. You have a good taste."
She smiles lightly at me, "My uncle created the whole thing. From exterior to interior. But since it's been a while...I knew I had to change the whole thing."
"Your uncle?" I ask, "Where is he now?"
"Probably...somewhere I don't even know. Somewhere far from here." she responds looking up,
I take a step closer, "Far from here?"
"My uncle's an engineer, Chucky. He's got lots of things to do in his leisure time. I'm sure he wouldn't stop by."
I shake my head, "That's not what I'm worried about,"
She crosses her arms, giving me the look, "I didn't know you were worried?" she leans on the wall,
I look down. This isn't really the right time to tell her everything. By everything, I mean opening up to the lighter side of me.
I have been thinking lately, and I know that it's right. It's right to tell her that I want more than all of just this. I want Megan to be mine, and by that, I mean only mine. Marriage, if you will. But if I tell her about it, that's just gonna sound too fucking weird.
Rushing her wouldn't do the trick. It's just not right.
It's not because I get to fuck around freely, it's not because I get her to stick with me forever. It's more because of her commitment to what we do.
This love thing isn't enough for me. I love her, yes, but there's something else I want to prove. And something about Meg that I want her to give me. The sureness.
