Too late.

Chris was already outside of Lorelai's hotel room by the time she responded. From inside, he could hear music playing rather loudly. And he was sure that her neighbors could hear it.

Before he could knock, the door opened revealing a tired-looking Lorelai.

"Hey." He spoke carefully as she motioned him inside after letting out a short sigh. The music was still playing loudly as he plopped down onto her bed.

"Hi." She muttered as she grabbed her phone turning off the album that was playing loudly, which just happened to be Mayday Parade's Monsters in the Closet.

"Are you okay?" He asked as she sat down beside him.

"I don't know." She shrugged as he looked down at her sadly. "Having an article written about you that's accusing you of being with two guys isn't exactly the best thing."

"Articles come and go, Lor. Only you know what's true." He wrapped an arm around her, giving her body a squeeze.

She allowed his words to sink in, repeating them in her mind before speaking up. "Sometimes I wonder why I got into this business, a majority of the time it makes my anxiety go crazy."

"That's why you don't let it get to you. Stay on top of it, and you'll be just fine." He placed a kiss against her forehead, almost making her melt at the feeling.

"Thank you." She whispered before wrapping her arms around him.

"Now, how about that coffee?" He asked with a short laugh.

"That was just an excuse so I could talk to you about something." Her cheeks became heated as she glanced up at him.

"You can talk to me anytime, what is it?" He smiled, giving her encouragement as she felt herself become nervous.

She thought for a moment, trying to find the words to say before she finally blurted. "I think I'm majorly Team Evans."

"Well, I'll have you know, that I am majorly Team Hart." He grinned down at her, mimicking the voice of a fangirl.
