I tell her I'm sorry but there was no reply. Just then I hear paws entering the cave I get off the couch and carefully move my mom so she can keep sleeping.

"What are you doing?" I ask

"I missed you to much. Is this where you live?" She asks as she phases out of her wolf. It was my mate.

"I told you to stay at home." I tell her

"I know but we are both new to this mate thing and I just needed to be with you." She tells me, her iridescent colored eyes sparkling. She had dark brown hair with pink highlights. And her eyes, her eyes are so beautiful always sparkling.

"I don't want to introduce you to my family just yet." I tell her in a calm voice.

"Why not?" She asks as if a challenge, he iridescent eyes now a bright purple.

"I just don't think their ready." I tell her trying to calm her down. Just then another voice speaks up. Oh great.

"Who's this?" My mother asks with a challenging tone.

I step between my mate and my mother.

"This is my mate." I tell Janet.

"I figured but I'm sure she has a name.

"My name is honeydew, but most people call me honey." She says

"I bet" retorts my mother

"What's that supposed to mean?" She asked her eyes once again glowing.

"Oh nothing." My mother says before turning to me.

"I am heading to Devon's house just incase she goes there instead of coming here." She says as she walks to the cave entrance.

"She is already home, but she wants to be alone. She doesn't want to see us right now." I tell her.

"We'll I'm her mom and she is gonna half to get used to having a little lack of privacy." She says before running off In wolf form towards home. Honeydew walks towards the entrance if the cave.

"Where you think your going?" I say as I grab her and spin her around to face me.

She puts her arms around my neck.

"I want to see the place you grew up in."

"I don't know, I mean we have this cave all to ourselves...." I tell her while looking down into her beautiful eyes.

"You thinking what I'm thinking?" She asks.

"Hide and go seek around these woods then come back for a good nap?" I tell her.

She giggles then runs off into the woods.

"You have 30 seconds!" I scream at her.
