Devon's P.O.V.

I was being dragged into the pack hospital. I wasn't restraining but I also wasn't helping. Rayleigh was gone. Only time a wolf leaves you is if you got injected with wolfsbane. They hooked me up to machines and the doctor, Alyssa, was checking every part of me. She wrapped my hand up and put it in a cast. I shouldn't need a cast, I'm a wolf, it should be healing. I saw their mouths moving but heard nothing. I couldn't hear anything. Everyone one looked worried. Nala was in Derek's arms and hey just starred at me. My eyes felt like they weighed an elephant and I was slowly closing them. I saw the matching change colors and the numbers were changing but everything slowed down. Nala came rushing over but I still heard nothing. I slowly drifted to sleep.

Garett's P.O.V.

~is she our mate?~ I asked my wolf, Matt.

~I think she is but her wolf, Rayleigh, she isn't there. It's like Devon is a wolf but she dosnt have a wolf.~

~is that possible? Is our mate human?~

~No, a human alpha? She has a wolf, she had a wolf. She is defiantly a she wolf, there is something wrong.~

~what do you mean?~ I asked worriedly. She could be my second chance mate and she is in trouble. Before Matt could reply she excused herself and ran out side. I was going to continue talking to Matt when we heard a scream. At first it was a howl but it sounded more human than wolf. Nala, tah pack doctor,and I all ran out side to see Devon in her knees.

Everything was a blur. Her eyes closed and ether machine started beeping. The doctor asked us to leave and we all did. All it Nala, she refused to leave her side. We had to drag her out as she was in tears.

We waited for what seemed like forever. Alyssa, the doctor, walked out. She looked at all of us and landed in Nala, her eyes full of sorrow.

"Someone has put human blood in her.,the normal blood cells are attacking her wolf cells. I am putting wolf blood in her now but I don't know how long it will be until she wakes up." The doctor told is and Nala bursted in to tears.

"Thank you doctor." I spoke for everyone.

"That's not it." She said as she looked at the ground and back up.

"There's more?!" Nala creamed in tears.

"I ran test for her wolf. She's gone. It's like her wolf ran away. Her wolf has connections with her but alpha Devon dose not have connections with her. Her wolf isn't dead she. Just, not there." The doctor spoke as we all went into shock.

"Is there anything else?" Derek asked.

"I'm sorry, but yes."

"Oh god there's more!" Nala screamed into Derek's chest.

"Currently, since she is with out her wolf, she is human. Not only if she is human, she is dead. Because she had a wolf this didn't affect her but now that she is human, she can not hear us." When she was done speaking she said we could visit her and she might pen her eyes but don't be shocked if they close. We all nodded our heads and Nala ran into the room.

Devon's P.O.V.

I could hear or say anything. I could feel something being injected into me. I opened my eyes to see the doctor but they quickly closed once more. What the hell is wrong with me?

Rayleighs P.O.V.

What the hell is going on? I'm looking through her eyes, I'm trying to talk to her, I can hear her! It's like the microphone is broken. I heard her scream my name and when I answered it's like she didn't hear me. I treys to let out a howl and at first it came out but it's like her human side was somehow extremely stronger than me. I warned her not to use anything that came with being a wolf then she goes and pinches a tree. When I caught on to what she was doing I used every bit of strength, every ounce of power I had to make sure that tree fell, but nothing. Were wolfs can control when their wolfs come out but never has there been a moment where they can make it so it's like they don't have a wolf!

When she closed her eyes I got hit with extreme pain. It's like I was dying slowly and painfully. I've talked to other wolves who's had their previous human block them out because they weren't compatible. They said it was slow and painful. Most wolves just kill themselves so their human can be full human and we don't suffer. I would suffer for Devon though. I don't care how painful this is, she's worth it.

Her eyes opened again, I saw people talking but heard nothing. Is she deaf? Are we deaf? She closed her eyes and I wouldn't allow it. When humans are in pain there werewolves can take some of that pain from the. And I've been taking a lot on top of the pain that was coming from not connecting with her. I gave her all her pain but kept the pain that was meant for me. She opened her eyes wide with a scream. We didn't hear it though. What the hell is wrong with us?
