my silent screams get stuck in my throat
i try to drown but instead i float
no one listens; no one cares
they'd all prefer to stay unaware
"it's not my problem; it's yours" they'd say
then when you persist they'd cast you away
"it's none of my business; leave me alone"
a small reminder that you're on your own
a voice that says from deep, deep down
that no one really wants you around
because no one listens and no one cares
about how you're broken and need repairs
