they said if you're quiet you'll hear the birds
chirping melodies that don't need words
you'll hear the leaves rustle in a gentle breeze
and smell the salt from the world's vast seas
for only in silence will the world's noise vanish
so you can see nature, the world's grand palace
as it truly is, as beautiful and serene
with skies, royal blue, and grass, fresh and green
you'll see flowers blooming in the grace of spring
and thank the autumn skies for the rain it brings
you'll feel the heat from the hot summer's sun
and winter's snow will let you know the year's done
so venture into a forest, near hills or a meadow
and as the wildlife blossoms, you'll feel yourself grow
get lost in the wind and the feel of it all
and you'll find yourself in nature's call
