Izaya's POV

I'm walking around Ikebukuro trying to get back to my house carrying four really heavy grocery bags because of Shizu-chan. We've been secretly dating for 2 months and only Shinra, Celty, and Varona know. Varona is a long story so I really don't want to think about it, anyway. Shizu-chan is the one who's been annoying me most of the time. The stupid idiot forgot to grab the shopping list before leaving for work so I had to go out and get everything. I finally get home struggling to get through the door and see Shizu-chan sitting on the couch watching TV.

Why the- never mind but he better do something nice for me later. Though I still want to know why he's here so I ask him "Shizu-chan why are you here?"

"Oh well I got done with work early so I came back here to surprise you, but I just got a confused Namie so..." He stops talking and I'm getting pretty annoyed.

"So what Shizu-chan?" I put down the groceries and walk over to him.

"I told her I was here to beat you up, but she didn't look very convinced." Really that's it.

So I tell him the obvious "You're not vey good at lying Shizu-chan."

"Oh."

"Anyway why did you want to surprise me?" I ask I'm kind of curious about that.

"Well I wanted to tell you I got special tickets to the summer festival."

"Special tickets?"

"Yeah that means we get a really nice seats for the fireworks and dinner at a nice restaurant near it."

"Okay then I'll get ready for Friday night in three days." Why not, it could turn out nice.

*Time skip*

Shizuo's POV

I get ready for the festival and go in my normal bartender outfit. Izaya said to wear our normal clothes in stead of kimonos. I'm okay with that but I was thinking of having somewhat matching outfits. Well whatever we'll still have a great time.

I walk over to Izaya's house and spot Varona. For some reason she's been kind of clingy to me lately after the Izaya and me thing. She starts to walk toward me well damn I can't get to Izaya now.

"Hey Shizuo what are you doing here?" She asks, but I think she knows why.

"Well I'm just walking around." Wow that was horrible I see what Izaya was talking about.

"Oh well I was going to the summer festival..." She trails off thinking about something. "Oh! How about you come with me it would be nice."

"Oh um w-well..."

"You said your just walking around, why not walk around with me? Or would you rather be with Izaya." Her voice went a little demonic when the mention of Izaya came up.

"W-well I kinda do have plans but for right now I'm just walking around." Please go away I have to get to Izaya. I say in my head.

"Oh okay I see well then I'll be on my." She walked past me and smiled waving goodbye. I know she wants to kill Izaya but I won't let that happen.
