Prologue
I ran. And ran.
Not looking back, I couldn't look back. I wanted to stop. Wanted to save him. But my feet wouldn't stop. My mind kept telling them to stop, but I just kept going. I wanted to turn around, I needed to turn around.
I don't know what I would do without him. He was my everything, but when he told me to run, I bolted. Why couldn't I turn around and save him?
My legs were giving out. I had ran so far I wasn't sure how much farther I could go. My vision was becoming blurry. My breath became heavier and heavier. All I remember after that was falling, falling hard, and looking up at the stars before my eyes abruptly shut and my mind went blank.
