"Cass, what do you have first period?" Jess asked.

"Uhhhh, Biology with Mrs. Sower" I replied

"Awh Damn, I have Algebra. What room is Bio in?"

"432, and Jess, I love you but honestly, I will be okay by myself."

"I know, I just worry about you"

"Its okay, stop being my mom and start being my friend."

"Alright," she sighed, "I'll catch you later then?"

"You got it!"

I walked off into the glass building surrounding me and started to search for my classes. It was so confusing, I swear, who ever decieded to make finding a classroom this complicated?

After taking another 15 minutes looking around, I finally reached room 432, Biology class.

I actually didn't mind biology. For some reason, it has always interested me. But other subjects, forget about those, I was only there cause I had to be.

I walked into the classroom to see about 30 students chatting with their friends or sitting in their desks. I looked around at the classroom trying to find a place to sit.

I chose a seat right in the middle, close to the window so if I got bored, I could just look out and day dream.

A couple seconds after I sat down the bell rang, and students filed into their seat. The teacher was writing something on the board, what looked like her name, then turned around to face the class.

"Hello Class, I am Mrs. Sower and I will be your biology teacher for the year." she said quite loudly.

Mrs. Sower was actually quite scary. I was guessing she was probably in her late 50's, she had short, dark, brown hair that some grays peaking out. She was short and her skin resembled a prune. I had a feeling I wasn't going to like her very much.

"Alright, Well, since not all of you know each other turn to your neighbor and tell them what you're name is and a couple things about yourself." Mrs. Sower said quickly.

Nobody moved, We all just kind of looked like lifeless beings inhabiting the desks. She just blankly stared at us and wondered why we weren't doing anything.

"Do I have to get each and everyone of you to come up to the front of the class and explain a little about yourself?" She spoke a kind of harshly.

With saying that each of us turned to our neighbor next to us and started jabbering away.

The girl I was sitting next to turned towards me and said in a delighted tone, "Hi, I'm Mackenzie! But everyone usually calls me Mac."

"Hi," I replied, "I'm Cassie, and you can call me Cass or Cassie, either one."

Mackenzie was extremley pretty. She had long, blonde hair that stopped to about her waist. She had striking, green eyes, and full, pink lips. All her feautres were very defined because she was quite skinny.

"Well, Cassie, I moved here, to California, a couple of years ago to live with my mom. I love surfing, I go almost every day, and my favorite color is pink, now tell me about you." Mac said sweetly.

"I have lived here all my life, I could spend all day listening to music. My favorite band is Pierce the Veil. I love surfing too. I like crusing around on my skateboard by the beach, and my favorite color is purple." I replied.

"Oh, I know who Pierce the Veil is! My half-brother listens to them ALL the time. I don't like their screaming."

"It takes some getting used to."
