Passing by the Washington Monument, Amy walks towards the White House. She feels it would be good shelter, as well as getting a glimpse of what the House itself looks like inside. She walks down the streets of the dead capital. No sight of life anywhere. Dead trees stood from the dried up soil, old buildings crumbled, windows were shattered with glass spread everywhere.

Few zombies in the distance wandered around slowly. Amy stares at them and remembers how she brutally killed some back in the hospital. She wanted to know how she did all that easily. Could it be the effects of her mutation? It must have, otherwise without it, she wouldn't have been alive. Just staring that them makes her think that she needs a weapon. With that in mind, she needs one fast.

Luckily, she finds the nearest gun store. Amy rushes over to it and opens the door. She walks inside and looks around. Shockingly, there are no guns in sight.

"God damnit Democrats...no wonder everybody hates you guys..." she murmured. However, Amy spots a safe, and luckily, it was opened! She goes over to it and takes a look inside. Inside was a Škorpion submachine gun along with the right ammunition. Amy picks it up and observes it. A little dusty, but still usable. Right next to the safe was a backpack. Perfect. Amy takes the ammo and puts it inside the pack. She zips it up and puts on the backpack.

Amy leaves the gun store and continues onward to the White House. It wasn't too long to arrive at the President's house. There was only one problem; the metal-barred fence was still up.

Now what? Amy thought. She closed her eyes and lays her forehead on a bar. Weirdly enough, she felt the bar dragging down on her forehead. Amy opens her eyes to find it shrinking. She felt dumbfounded until finding out why. She looks down to find her feet not on the ground. Amy gasps. She's floating!

"What the hell?!" she said. "First I can turn myself invisible, now I can fly?!" This was very surprising. Maybe if she thought of which direction to go to fly, like how she thought of herself turning invisible, it could work. Amy thinks of floating upward, and she does! She grins. Amy floats over the fence and lands back on the earth. She hustles over toward the White House.

The inside of the House was very fancy, though the power of the atom has made the inside a complete mess. She walks down the red rug, passing by paintings of past Presidents. She passes by a headstone of Abraham Lincoln. Next to the headstone were various pictures of different presidents, such as Franklin D. Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and many more. She walks down another hall, and to her right was the White House garden.

Amy smiles at how the White House looks. She always wanted to go on a tour with her father. Thinking of her father made her feel sad. She remembers when first hearing of her father's death, and how long she cried. Amy's smile changed to a frown. Tears began to build up in her eyes, but she wiped them off quickly. She took a deep breath and knew she had to be strong. In a new world like this, being taken care of won't be taken for granted.

Amy heads up the stairs to the second floor. She finds a large painting of the first ever President of the United States; George Washington himself. Amy smiles and salutes to him. She stops by to look at herself in a mirror. Amy thinks she might be a vampire due to the sharp fangs and pointy ears. Not only that, but the mutated bat that has bit her. One question really remains to her, and that is how she can see herself in a mirror? From what she knows about vampires is that they can't be seen in their reflection when looking at a mirror. Why can she see herself in a mirror if she believes to be one due to the appearance and the mutated bat that bit her?

Amy thinks that it could probably be just a myth, due to not knowing what the answer could be. There could be one, but for now, she doesn't know. Amy walks out of the room back out into a hall. There she finds the President's office. Two flags hung next to the entrance and above was the Seal of the President of the United States. Amy walks inside the President's office. The office was very dirty and empty. His desk was still intact as well as the flags. There was something surprising in the office as well. Somebody was in there!

Amy holds her Škorpion up high and aims at the figure. The figure breathes in and out angrily as it looks down at a dead corpse. It turns around and looks at Amy. The figure looked zombified, but it didn't look like the other zombies Amy encountered. He had bandages all over his face and parts of his hair sticking out.

"Get the hell away from me!" he yelled in a raspy voice. Amy's eyes widen and she backs up.

"Whoa, easy there," she said. "I'm not gonna hurt you, or anything. I just came here for shelter, that's all." The person stares at her and sighs.

"Sorry," he said, "I thought you were one of those "girls" from before the War. I can't trust them anymore! They're nothing but heart-breaking witches! They come, they break, they take, and then they finally leave, leaving you empty handed and a broken heart. I'm done looking for a girlfriend, and I'm not going to have them get in my way."

"Well, I'm sorry to hear that," said Amy, "but, not all girls are like that." The guy walks over to Amy and he puts his hands on her shoulders.

"Explain that to the past twenty girls that I've spent with," he said. He lets go and walks over to the broken window behind the President's desk. He looks down and breathes angrily.

"Do you know what happens when girls break my heart?" he asked. "You don't want that to happen...like this one right here." He grabs the head of a corpse that looks like a girl. Amy's eyes widen, then he looks at him.

"Look, buddy," she said, walking over to him and putting her hand on his shoulder, "I'm not like one of those past twenty girls. I'm nothing like them." The guy glances back at her, and he did not look really happy. He slaps her hand off her shoulder.

"Get the hell away from me!" he snarled.

"Ohhh shit..." said Amy.

"YOU'RE JUST LIKE THE OTHERS!" he yelled as he swung punches at her, but she dodges them. "THEY ALWAYS SAY THAT!!!" He kicks her in the stomach and shoves her down to the floor. He then walks over to the back of the table and takes out two chainsaws. He strokes the handle on both to turn it on. Amy looks at him in fear, as the guy faces her angrily with the deadly tools.

"I'm not gonna let girls like you break my heart again!" he yelled.
