It was a cloudy and rainy afternoon. You and Finn were sitting on the couch playing BMO, you were sitting on Finn, his arms around you, after what happened with the princess and that shape shifter he hasn't let you go out alone, he hasn't even let you go that much, every second he gets is him holding you and latching onto you.
After a few rounds of him beating you at the game, you stood, him grabbing your wrist as you tried to walk away "Finn...?" You awkwardly turned and looked down at him "what're you doing?" He paused and looked away "you're...just going to the restroom, aren't you?" He laughed a little and you nodded, bending down and kissing his forehead "I'll be back" you smiled and he nodded, smiling back at you.
Later that day Finn, Jake, and you were sitting on the couch, watching a homemade movie on BMO when you all heard a knock on the door, it was faint and soft. "I've got it!" Jake stood and ran over, opening the door he gasped and slammed it, quickly turning and whispering loudly Its the princess!! Finn looked at you and you looked at him, Ive got this.. He stood and slowly walked to the door, Jake running over to you and taking you hand. Finn? Jake? (Y/n)? You three heard the Princesses voice from outside, she sighed a bit loud, loud enough for the three of you to hear. I-I know you guys are in there, and I know you wont answer the door because of what I did and Im sorry.. Finn hesitated but answered the door after she let out those two words, Princess, what you did is unforgivable! You kidnapped (Y/n) and tried to trick me! Finn yelled at her and she flinched a bit as she looked down, she wascrying? Im sorry. Im so.. so sorry Finn, Please believe me she cried out and you stood up, you walked over to Finn and he looked down to his side You know, tricking me was fine.. But doing what you did to (Y/n) was just too much. He harshly spoke and shut the door, Jake touched your arm and you looked down at him, he motioned for you to go and sit on the couch and you listened. Finn just stood there for some time, he looked like a statue. Im sorry (Y/n).. Finn finally spoke, these were the only words he spoke for the rest of the night.
After you calmed Finn down he fell asleep and you when to the kitchen and sat on a chair, you ran your fingers through your hair and Jake approached you slowly. um Is there anything I can do? He whispered out and you looked up at him, you hesitated but nodded.
The next morning you asked Finn if Jake could take you to get some stuff from Marceline, at first he was against it but after Jake talked to him he finally agreed to let you out without him. Once you were out of view of the tree house Jake carried you to the Candy Kingdom, you wanted to see Bubblegum and try to make things okay. Whatre you doing here? the princess looked down and messed with her hands, you sighed and looked at Jake Well princess, I wanted to accept your apology From earlier and- You were cut off in the middle of your sentence as the princess approached you, Jake was getting ready to grab you if Bubblegum tried to pull anything on you. Thank you.. She hugged you and started to cry, you soon hugged her back and smiled. Lets go to the tree house you smiled and pulled out of the hug. But.. Finn. He doesnt- You cut her off and smiled He has to learn.. she hesitated but nodded, both of you jumping on Jakes back and heading over to the tree house. Finn, Im home! And I brought someone.. you called out and he came down the ladder from his room and yelled (Y/n)?!?! he ran over to you and pulled you away from Bubblegum now, before you get upset.. I brought her here so we could all.. make up? you smiled awkwardly and he pulled you to the side are you crazy? he whispered and you shrugged oooh, come on Finn pleeeasseee? you begged and he groaned fine. But if she does anything or say anything suspicious then Im done, okay? he raised an eyebrow after asking this question and you nodded okay!
You talked to Bubblegum and she explained everything out and why she did what she did, she explained that she wanted Finn to pay attention to her and when he was giving all his attention to you she got jealous and came up with a way to get rid of you. She said at that time that she didnt think it was that bad but looking back on it she realized how many people she affected just attempting it. After talking everything out you and Jake seemed to have forgiven her but Finn wasnt buying it, he was just sitting there looking down at his feet. He didn't want to take her apology and story, he needed her to prove how sorry she was to him for him to forgive her.
After a few hours of talking things out Jake took the princess to the kingdom and you looked at Finn, "she's really trying you know? Just give her a chance Finn! Please!?" you yelled out at him and he laughed a bit "How can I give her a chance after what she did?!" he yelled and you sat down on the couch and looked down at your feet. He sighed and walked over to you, sitting down and wrapping his arm around you "look, I'm sorry (Y/n).. Look, for you.. I'll try and get along with her okay..?" you nodded and looked at him, "okay.." you smiled a small smile and he kissed your forehead, ending the night after Jake came home.
