Chapter Twelve

Ch. 12

Demetrius gripped my arm forcefully bringing me to stand, pressing my body roughly against the wall.

"we are going to have some fun" he growled in my ear.

"LOUIS!" I screamed, struggling in Demetrius' grip.

"No! Let. Me. Go!" I cried as he ripped my shirt off, tossing the torn fabric aside. he roughly pinned me to the bed in a flash, trying to take off the rest of my clothes. I cried, screaming Louis' name, trying my hardest to fight Demetrius off.

"Louis!" I cried. my body was drenched in sweat as I sat up, panting for air, my hands and body shaking in fear.

"Natalie, I'm right here" I heard Louis' soft raspy voice speak. I sobbed as he brought me into his chest, lying back down with me in his arms. my hands gripped his t-shirt, nuzzling into his warmth as tears left my eyes.

"it was Demetrius, he-he.." I choked out. Louis tensed at the sound of Demetrius' name.

"it's alright Natalie, you're safe. here. in My arms" he mumbled softly as he held me close.

"i-it was so real, Louis. y-you weren't there" I whimpered.

"I'm here Natalie" he whispered bringing me closer. if it was even possible. "I'm not going anywhere Natalie, not now not Ever" he stated.

I nodded, my breath slowing down as Louis' warm hand rubbed soothing circles into the small of my back.

"what time is it?" I asked, my voice soft and quiet.

"its three am" Louis mumbled softly.

"wait, earlier did we...." I trailed off.

"yes, I lost control with you. I'm sorry" he mumbled.

"its alright"

"no its not Natalie, we shouldn't be doing this"

'what am I saying? I want nothing more than to have her here with me. I need her, there's nothing that could amount to how much I care for her'

"Ugh! what is that?!" I grunted sitting up.

'what is she talking about?'

"what ar-" I cut Louis off

"I'm talking about you! I can hear you say things with out your mouth moving! just right now, after you said we shouldn't be doing this. you said how much you care for me, that you need me, and that you wanted nothing more than to have me in your arms"

Louis stayed silent,

"Natalie I didn't say that, I thought about that" he said slowly. my eyes widened.

"w-well then why can I hear your thoughts?"

he furrowed his eyebrows shaking his head.

"could it be a new power?" he asked.

"I-I guess it is" I mumbled.

"so you care about me, yet you don't think we should be together?" I asked him.

"I can't protect you Natalie, not from myself. I can't be this close to you without thinking about how amazing your blood smells" he stated.

"I trust you Louis" I whispered to him, caressing his left cheek.

"you shouldn't trust me Natalie, I could kill you right now, and you wouldn't even have a chance to run" he growled, his breath quickening as light growls rumbled in the back of his throat.

"you wouldn't hurt me Louis, I know you can't. you'd do anything you could to keep me safe, an I've never felt as safe with anybody as I do with you" I said taking his face in my hands. he sighed. I could hear his thoughts, knowing that he was calming down with my touch.

"we should get some rest" he.mumbled. I nodded in agreement. my hand quickly gripped his as he tried to leave the bed.

'stay with me please' I begged, voicing my thoughts so he could hear them in his head. he leaned in close to me, our lips brushing together.

"I'll stay" he whispered against my lips. I sighed as we lied together, my head placed on his chest as I slowly slipped into a deep sleep.
