Up on Mount Olympus, sat Aphrodite. It was just another day looking over mortals, making sure they were in check and making sacrifices to her.

It was a slow day and that forced Aphrodite to busy herself. Now here's the thing, when she "busies herself," it really just means that she is going to go down into the mortal world in her sparkling chariot, disguise herself, and see what poor mortal needs a little magic to help fix up their broken love life.

As Aphrodite's blinding white chariot came in contact with the old, grey streets of Paris, France, she saw that the city was buzzing with life. People were bustling in and out of petite little shops and cafés, walking their dogs, picnicking outside, and having a warm, relaxing summer afternoon stroll. It was only fit for Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, to go to the City of Love and help mend mortals' love lives back together.

As she walked along a stone pathway that led up to a small, quaint café, she saw a couple in their early twenties arguing. A boy with leaf green eyes and light brown hair was furiously shaking his head at what his girlfriend was shouting at him, in which the girl had dirty blonde hair that stopped just at her shoulders. Her piercing blue eyes made her stare all the more deadly as she screamed accusations at her boyfriend. So naturally, Aphrodite moved closer to the bickering couple to see what the fuss was all about, but to her distress, learned that the boy had been slightly late to his coffee date with his girlfriend that afternoon. And when I say the boy was "slightly late," I actually mean that he was 2 hours late, according to the words the girl previously shouted in his face. At this point, people started to stop and stare at the two.

"I sat here for 2 lonely hours, Aaron! Two freaking hours trying to contact you on your stupid phone! Where were you this entire time, huh?!?" she shouted.

"I'm sorry, Emerald. It just slipped my mind," replied Aaron.

On the verge of tears, Emerald asked, "How could you even forget about our date when I reminded you yesterday?"

"I'm so sorry Em. I was just helping my mom clean her house and I lost track of time," explained Aaron.

"Okay, fine! But what about your phone? Why didn't you answer it when I was trying so hard to call you?!?"

With his head hanging low, Aaron said, "It was dead. I forgot to charge my phone last night."

Not believing a single word Aaron was saying, Emerald began gathering her belongings, ready to storm off. However, Aphrodite wasn't going to let this happen on her turf.

Using her charm speak, she whispered a command for the two to forgive each other and continue on with their date. As a little cherry to top it all off, the goddess wiped away both mortals' memories of the last 4 hours, so that neither would be able to recall this predicament.

After the charm speak, the couple, looking dazed and confused, sat down and began talking after a few moments, getting lost in each other's eyes almost instantaneously.

Pleased with her work, Aphrodite continued along the mesmerizing streets of Paris.
