Emerys POV*
Me and Carly drove over to Ricky's house after school. So we could hang out and so they could work on their project. We walked up to the door and I grabbed the key from the flower pot then I unlocked the door. No one was home yet so we just sat on the couch and watched criminal minds. I don't know what's up with Ricky, he's been acting really weird since me and Carly started hanging out. I said in my mind
" If he likes her I swear.." But my thoughts were interrupted by the door slamming shut. Both mine and Carly's heads snapped to the door and there stood a sad looking Ricky. " what's wrong bud" I asked Ricky, he just shrugged as if he wasn't sad about anything. " nothing" he mumbled, Carly raised her eyebrows, which was adorable, and said " are you sure?". " IM FINE!" Ricky yelled and stomped upstairs. Carly and I just looked at each other confused, "I should probably go talk to him" I said breaking the silence. She nodded and I stood up and walked upstairs. I knocked on Ricky's door, no answer. I giggled the door knob, it's locked. "Well great" I thought. " Ricky" I said knocking on his door again. " no" I heard from the other side of the door. I went back to the living room and asked Carly " do you have a Bobby pin that I can borrow". She nodded and reached in her hair and pulled one out, making her side bangs fall and cover her right eye. I laughed as she handed the Bobby pin to me " thanks" I say walking back upstairs. After about five minutes of trying to pic the lock on Ricky's door it finally opened. Ricky was laying on his bed with his back to the door. I closed the door then I put the Bobby pin in my back pocket and walked up to his bed. I sat down and asked " what's going on Ricky?" I started " I've never seen you this down before" I patted his back. He sat up and looked at me. I could tell he had been crying, his face was red and his eyes were puffy. " you really wanna know?" He said and I nodded my head. " ok well here's the truth. I like Carly..." He paused. I just froze. " How come you never told me?". " I have liked her for two years now, Em. You and Liam have just been caught up in your girlfriends to pay attention to what I feel" he stood up and walked out of the door. I just sat there for a moment to think about what he said. I feel bad now, he's the only one in the band whose only ever had one girlfriend. And she broke up with him. After a few minutes I get up and walk downstairs. When I get half way down the stairs I see Ricky leaning in to kiss Carly. I want to yell but I want to see what Carly does so I just bend down so the can't see me.
Carlys POV*
Emery went upstairs to talk to Ricky. He's been acting weird lately. I decided to turn on the tv. After like 10 minutes of trying to figure out the remote I just give up and play swing on my phone. I see Ricky come down the stairs and sit beside me. He's like really close, it's really awkward. " so where's Em" I say looking up at Ricky. Once again, he's Really close. I tried to discreetly scoot over a little. He starts to lean in. He starts getting closer, and closer. I stood up before he could kiss me. " um, I'm sorry I have to get home" I quickly said walking to the door and slipping on my shoes. " bye Ricky" I said awkwardly closing the door. I feel really bad, was that rude I mean of course it was but I couldn't let him kiss me. I'm with Emery, or I think I am?...It's complicated.
I begin to walk home. It's kinda a far walking distance,especially for a lazy person.... Like me😂. It's like 3 and a half miles. I was about a quarter of the way there when Emery drives up behind me and honks. I jumped as he laughed at me " Don't scare me like that!" I yelled and laughed. " need a ride" he asked patting the passenger seat. I smiled " yeah" I hoped into the car and we started to drive. We were listening to Megan trainer No then Emery turned it off at the good part. " hay that was my favorite song" I whined. He looked at me with a serious look. " What did I do" I asked confused. " I saw Ricky try to kiss you" he said still looking mad. " but I didn't kiss him" I said getting defensive. " I know" he said pulling into my driveway. " then why do you look mad" I question him. Sometimes he confuses me. " I'm not mad at you. I'm just upset with Ricky. But I can understand why he would wanna kiss you" he explained. I blushed " oh" I giggled. "I love you" Emery said and kissed me. " I love you too" I blushed " I got to go bye" i said and walked into the house. Oh no Michaels home. " Carly! Is that you?" Michael yelled from the kitchen, " yeah" I yelled back. " good I need the living room cleaned from all the party stuff in 30 minutes. He said coming out of the kitchen with a slice of pizza. " 30 minutes?! How am I supposed to do that in 30 minutes?" I said. He gave me the stank eye " just do it". " ok ok fine".
