Chapter 6

Nick's POV

When Ivy looked up, I was amazed by her hazel brown eyes, full of joy but had hidden pain beneath. She looked so fragile and scared that I just had the urge to protect her from any harm.

Looking at my friends , I could see they felt the same as me.

"Well, let's be on our way" I said before we turned around, starting to head back to the pack.

As we continued walking, we could hear heavy breathing coming from Ivy and we turned around to see her limping.

"Umm, are you ok?" Josh asked being the caring man he is.

"Oh yeah, I'm doing great" She responded a bit too cheery

"Wow... So convincing" Ivan said with sarcasm "It was soo believing, I didn't even want to worry"
"That just made no sense, Dumbo!" Ian responded laughing, giving Ivan a punch

"Woah man, you just killed my pride there" Ivan grumbled

"What pride?" Ian retorted "The pride for having a useless brain or an unfit body? They don't seem suitable to me"

"Ughhh, you.. you.."

"Ughh, you.. you.." Ian imitated "Very nice comeback"

"Seri.." Ivan began before being interrupted by a small laugh coming from Ivy and we all turned to stare at her

"Oops, sorry.." she whispered looking down fidgeting

"It's ok, you can laugh all you want" Josh smiled hugging her "No ones gonna hit you for making a sound, you can make as much as you want seeing as how we're used to these idiots ranting"

"Mannn, we're hurt" the twins say at the same time holding their hearts

"Whatever, man up" Josh said laughing before carrying Ivy and walking off

Ivy's POV

"Umm, you don't have to do carry me, I'm heavy" I whispered

"Nahh, you're really light, you know?" Josh smiled at me and I felt embarrassed from the attention

"Ummm, ok.." I said giving in to the warmth of his body and curling into his chest and slowly falling asleep.
