Calypso's cold (Caleo) Pt2

I had no idea what he had planned with this stuff.

He rolled the cart over to where I was sitting and picked me up, sitting me in his lap.

He kissed my forehead and smiled. "Your not dying, darling. You just caught a little cold. Your only a little sick. That's all. But I'm gonna make you all better." Leo said kissing my nose.

"Sick? I was never sick on Ogyaia.
(A/N: I'm almost a thousand percent sure that's not how you spell it but you get what I'm saying.) "Is it contagious?"

"Its ok baby. I promise I'll take care of you. And yes it is but I'll be fine. I've gotten MUCH worse than a cold before." He said chuckling.

He reached into the cart and grabbed the bowl of soup. He spoon fed it to me and it was really good.

"Here drink some orange juice." He said giving me that orange liquid which helped with my throat but as soon as I swallowed it the scratchy soreness came back.

He then reached out for the tiny bottle with that bright red syrupy liquid and the teaspoon. I had no clue what it was. In my defense, having lived on an island for my whole life, which was eternity, I didn't know what half the stuff on the cart was.

He kissed my forehead again with a pained smile on his face.

"What!? what happened!? What's wrong!?"

"I take it you've never had robutussin before?"

"Roba-what?"

"Right. Ok ummmm. Baby I love you sooo much. I trust you a lot and I hope you trust me to. And when I say this will help you it will. But I need you to bear with me. Believe me when I say this, this will be the most disgusting thing you will ever taste in your life. I'm sorry but if you don't swollow this you won't get better. I want the best for you. Everyone has to take a spoon full or two of this nasty stuff once in a while. But its only two spoon fulls and you are the most strong and independent woman I know and I know you can get through two spoon fulls of medicine. Just remember I love you and I have a glass of water here to wash out most of the taste. I love you." Leo said.

As he poured the medicine into the spoon and got the glass of water ready I was preparing my self for a near death expirence. It sounded so terrible.

But when I say this I'm being completely honest. Absolutely NOTHING could prepare me for what I was about to encounter.

It was horrid. I won't describe the taste. (I'll leave that fun to you guys to taste yourselves.) But let me just tell you. I will enjoy every last morsel of anything that goes into my mouth that is not robutussin.

Leo quickly spooned it down my throat so I could taste as little as possible. Still didn't help. I still had one more spoon full to go and I felt like imploding.

Luckily I got through and Leo dipped the wash cloth in the water and put it on my forehead. It felt good. He rubbed my back and kissed my cheek.

"Thats my brave tough girl. The worst part it over now." He smiled.

He grabbed the bag of candies and pulled out a hand full.

"Pick two."

I grabbed my two even thought they were all the same. I got really excited. After that disgusting trip to hell and back I got a glimpse of heaven. I got candy!
