Percy's POV

Percy was overwhelmed by a chorus of "Welcome!"

He nervously walked towards the water sector, where he was greeted by two people, a boy and a girl.

"Hi! My name is Talla!" Greeted the girl. She had caramel colored skin, and dark brown hair that fell in ringlets. Her eyes were a startling yellow, and she had perfect teeth.

"I'm Cole." Grumbled the boy. Talla tsked.

"So!" She said, turning her bright smile to Percy. "What's your name?"

Percy hesitated. "My name is Per-" Then he reconsidered. Here, he could be someone different. "My name is (You have no idea how badly I want to put Persassy) Alkaios."

"That's nice." Talla said sincerely. "It's Greek, isn't it?" Percy nodded.

"It means strength. It is also the name of-" Percy hesitated. "A son of Perseus."

Cole said, "That's cool." He seemed to have shed the moody attitude that he had, and he was now smiling slightly. He had brown hair, and startling blue eyes. His skin held many scars, as many as Percy.

Percy hesitated. "I have some questions." He started. "Who are those people up there?" He pointed a curious finger to the table where the 'Seraphim' sat.

Talla sighed a longing sigh. "Those are the most powerful people in the army. You have to be seriously strong to get up there. Cole has been trying for almost a thousand years."

"Well, they're selective." Percy said, sarcastically. But Talla didn't sense the sarcasm, and she nodded solemnly.

"Night and water are still free." She said, sighing. "So as of yet, our sector has no commander. So we answer to Chaos, which is usually why he puts in the newbies with us."

"Well...that's nice?" Percy said, awkwardly. "Who are the people up there?"

"Well..." Talla said. "You won't really see them much, but... I guess I can point out the more important people." She hesitated again. "Right there, the boy with blond hair and green eyes? His name is Ralan. He is Day. His sector is focused on healing. They're medics, nurses, and chemists." Percy looked over to the table she was pointing at, and saw that it was filled with mostly younger kids. Which didn't really make sense to him. Why would you send out young kids into the heat of battle to heal the wounded?

"She," Talla continued, pointing towards a girl with black hair in a side braid, and deep blue eyes, "Is the leader of Air. They are our aerial force, they ride pegasi. Her name is Aiyla." Talla sighed. "I would love a pegasus." Percy thought wistfully of Blackjack.

"And she," Talla said, her voice deepening in respect, "Is named Era. She has been here the longest, and she leads Dawn." Percy felt his mouth drop open slightly as he looked at her. As if she felt someone looking at her, Era turned her head towards him, gazing at him with piercing gold eyes. Her hair was a running river at night, the deepest black, but it shone with multiple colors like an oil spill. It was tied up in a long pony tail, and her skin was porcelain. Her eyes, of course, were a glowing gold, and she didn't look completely human. She wore skin tight pants that were actually pretty modest, they went from gray to fading to a dull, metallic pink. Dark lines spanned the pants, in a pattern that reminded him vaguely of wings. Her top was also skin tight, and it was in metallic colors, a pink fading into gold. It did remind him of a sunrise. She had bits of armor hugged close to her shoulders, the pieces of metal were thin, and a ruby the size of a robin's egg was stuck in the middle. Her boots went up to her knees, and they were made of a supple looking black leather, hugging close to her legs, and they looked good for running.
