Chapter 3: I want my macaroni

 House three.

House four.

House five.

House Six! I made it and now we have 9 egg-potato shells(there were 10 to start with). After I  finished eating one I thought 'What kind of neighbor gives a new neighbor dinner food?', I mean like I've read and seen other people give neighbors cookies, cakes, and sweets but never dinner food. Ahhh well, they better like my mom's cooking.

I rang the doorbell 4 times and waited for an answer. Nothing. Let see, what usually gets people out of their houses? Then an idea hit me.

"C'mon! I have chocolate chip cooookies" I said. And that's when the door opened, Only I didn't see anyone. I looked down and saw an adorable little girl with big green eyes and long brown hair and a toothy grin.

"Errr..."  How am I suppose to explain to a little girl that there are no cookies and I just said that to let someone to open the door.

"Get out of the way Molly! And what did mom tell you about answering the door to strangers?" A male voice said to the little girl, who apparently is named Molly. A guy replaced the place where she once stood. He had the same green eyes and brown hair she had. He looked like he was wearing his pajamas and he just came out of bed.

I just blinked.

He blinked.

I blinked twice.

He blinked twice.

I blinked thrice.

He blinked thrice.

I blinked-

"Ahhh!" He said while rubbing his eyes."Too much blinking!" He said while he still rubbing his eyes. I on the other hand had no problem, I am a champion in blinking. I am the blinking champion, and you're going to hear me roar.

"Can I help you?" He asked once he stopped rubbing his eyes. He looked like he was my age and I think I saw him at my school before. I think.

"Yeah..well my mom told me you guys just moved here and asked me to give you guys this, you know as a welcome gift. I don't know why she didn't make you guys cookies or cake. But these are really good." I said while handing him the plate. He just stared at it and then looked at me."So,uh, welcome to the neighborhood, I guess?"

"Would you like to come in?" He asked while opening the door a little further so I can enter.

"Sure!" I said while stepping inside. His house was just like any other one that just moved. He had a simple living room with cardboard boxes everywhere.

“Sorry about the boxes, we hadn’t have had the time to unpack.” He said.

“That’s alright. Any ways here you go!” I said while raising the plate  higher. He just stared at it then looked at me.

“What is that?” He asked with a confused look on his face.

“This is egg-potato salad. It has cheese, boiled eggs, potatoes, vinegar, salt, mayo, mustard, onions, a dash of pepper, some milk and did I say salt?” I started listing out the ingredients.

“Umm…am I supposed to be writing this down?” he asked.

“What? Oh no,no. The only reason I was listing everything out was because I once gave this girl a cupcake, it was for her birthday, I think? Anyways it turned out she was allergic to vanilla and she spent 2 weeks in the hospital…in a coma. I don’t know how one could get into a coma from eating something they are allergic to.” I started rambling.
